  • remake the metro gti and sort out the uber anti rust protection

  • mg tf not f! fool

  • It's shit, spend your money on an MX-5 instead as it won't breakdown (ever), it won't leak like the MG, the head gasket won't blow like the MG does (constantly), it won't rattle, speak and fall apart like the MG, it's got a heated glass rear window and the hood goes down and up in a single move, unlike the MG which is a complete pain, there's more boot space and the cab is more comfortable, partly because Mazda can do sports suspension which doesn't rattlle your teeth.

  • @Ascendotuum2010 Erm the MG engine dosnent blow head gaskets no more, they havnt had one single problem with the engine. They have fixed the leaking problem as well and its built allot better. MG TF now has hydrogas suspension so it doesn't rattle your teeth, learn your facts mate.

  • @Ascendotuum2010i like jap cars but i drive a mg .i dont give a shit about leaking head gasket .buy the why i known people whow have had mx5s which head gaskets have blown.the reason i drive a mg becouse its fucking britsh and im proud of that.

  • i when to the MPH show and ask a man if there are going to do the zs and the zt and zr but he said they might not do them again but they might be making some sort of new model but i was pissed off i hv a zs 120 i love it bring them bk :D

  • I really hope there will be a new ZS, with a V8 hopefully

  • Dont worry bout the road love..it's overheating...

  • Look on the road bitch!!!!!

  • hello it's great mg is back.

sadly that she says it's an mg f not an mgtf. greetings from belgium

  • Sadly MG look (predictably) as though they are going to pack up longbridge for good, they cant even sell the cars they have made there so far...

  • MG is the best company manufacturing the cars

  • I am not sure. But SAIC plan to launch the RDX60 hatchback for MG in 09. By far as I know it will equip with K4K DVVT engine(peak power and torque has unknown yet) and K4 turbo. But they still talking about manufacturing MG5(ZS) in 10, which is odd, cause I remember the RDX60 is to replace 45....

  • Great to know that MG are going to make saloons aswell as convertibles.

  • @bloozeman101 yer and hatchbacks the MG ZERO looks great!

  • I'd love to see MG go back to motorsports fulltime. And it's not just the 'fun' and 'affordability' that made the marque. Anyone recall the MG E-xe concept car back in the early eighties? Well, the MG F, a decade of so later didn't remotely live up to that promise.

I got a lift to London from Bristol whilst a student, the first from a lorry driver who went to school with Paul Heaton from the Beautiful South..

  • The car I got the lift in, in between hitches was a red MG B GT. Awesome car. I'd loved them since, well I first saw one. It's the physical look, the sound, not the performance or dependability.

I want MG to do a GT version of the TF. In the same way I want Audi to do something a bit more like the S2 or the original UR Quattro. A boot doesn't do it for me. Classic design does. Aston Martin are probably the only manufacturer that do that for me these days.

  • YE THAT e-XE CONCEPT WAS LIKE 249 MPH or something like that.

  • How stupid not to sell them in the U.S. Everybody talks about the death of the British car industry being caused by British Leyland's mismanagement, but nobody is trying to do the thing they failed most miserably at. Promoting the MG marque in the U.S. I drive my MGB LE around and everyone asks me what it is and how can they get one or they tell me how they've always wanted one.

  • If they'd sell the MGRV8 here they wouldn't be able to make enough of them to meet demand. Americans love the styling of the older MGs and would pay almost any price to have that styling with some power.

  • Yeah, I hear some old people tell me British car had to withdraw from North American becasue they have problem on reliability and they rust. The first problem for NAC-MG is to take a hold in Europe and China. If they can stablize, North American re-entrance is just matter of time. Don't get me wrong, I wish they will make their way here.

  • Someone tell Wendy (the presenter) that its the MG TF, not the MG F.

Shame really that she managed to get such a basic fundamental thing as the name of the model wrong!

Doesn't really reflect well on her as a reporter, tbqh.

  • Yeah, also she says MG Rover had employed 16000 people when it was around 6000, and the mazda mx-5 she calls the mx, get your facts right man!!

  • The black alloys are an advantage?????!!!!???

  • Great to see MG back on the road again. Small beginnings, but enthusiasts around the world will be delighted.
