@MKIIsleeper i geuss it all depends where the thottle lever is..... turbos are very very good on economy but once you start playing at wot it will want more fuel ie drink the fuel . i rebiuld turbos and i have also fitted them on cars bikes trucks with a tune also and every single install i have had better fuel mileage more power but at wot they boost more air and they need more fuel
@deanoobaby I could see that if driven 'in the sweet spot' they might increase mileage but most people who have aftermarket turbo set-up's installed are not concerned with fuel consumption. The efficiency of a mass-produced internal combustion engine is at it's maximum and would require much more engineering/money to get it to the point where making more power from less air/fuel is not cost effective.
