Love the song very much but "mature" isn't the issue. Love is a human thing, not an age thing. Words pretend to be "mature" or strong but the soul and heart of the song is breaking. It's like when my mother saw me mourning over my grandma. Something was lost and she knew that but all she could say were things like "Don't cry. Don't remember her as gone. Remember us all happy together and smile for the good times." I knew she wanted to cry too. I think that's how he felt. He wanted her to smile.
