  • That bass riff @ 0:17 was a direct rip of Eric Clapton's Forever Man. Save Saturday? Really? How could you possibly get away with 'sampling' Slowhand and think no one would notice?

  • found da link

  • haha i found the link! :D

  • ericsurf6 was here!

  • save saturday is talented

  • thas a nice penis you have there

  • why does eric bother making a fake person called earl

  • See eric swim, See eric bike, See eric Run!

  • why were you fooling around on the compitition?

  • you have a very good freestyle for

  • go eric!! how hard was triathlon??Looks like it took forever. And lol nice fall on swim.

  • Wow, I am moving to Japan this summer for work. This is a great idea. I have never done a triathlon, and am interested in doing one. I am not sure about a formal one in Japan-I've read they can be expensive and hard to get into, but an offroad triathlon is brilliant! I've got experience hiking Mt. Fuji and military basic training. I'd love to get in touch with you about how to go about doing one of these. They look like fun! And you seem like you have a good attitude-I commend you on that!

  • hah always peeing in rivers.... tsk tsk :)

  • Very very innterestinng .

    日本の方は、真似しないで下さい。

  • my uncle is american and lives in tokio also

  • lol the 5:48 lol!!! ill leave one for if somone wants it xD lol ur a genius

  • whoa, ur in goood shape

  • Well done Eric. Done anymore Triathlons since then? I have ran a Marathon and that was hard enough. I enjoy cycling and I tend to cycle 30 to 50 miles 3 times a week...But that is road biking. Swimming in a nice warm pool appeals to me more than a cold river. But You did great. I would have been last by a long way.

  • lol i like that u understand english... nope :)

  • nice man go eric!!!

  • Eric, how long does it take to learn japanese language, Im planning to go there after college.

  • Eric what was the point of running side to side around 6:30, I didn't really get it lol. But nice vid and good job.

  • Annual eh? Eric, are you going to be doing this come august 09?

  • No, but I'm doing a different triathlon in September though.

  • someone has to be 2nd to last :))

  • I lol'd when you throwed the bike down first at 3:30 xD

  • so smart running backwards work out a different muscle. so u don't get to tired

  • 6:34!!!!!!!!! hahahahahaha nice

  • i love how yoou can eat that huge burger from onster cafe and yet still do all this. keep it up =D

  • It was interesting for me. I like swim. So I want to do triathlon. Was it difficult for you?

  • The swim was easy because it was only 20 minutes. The run was the hardest for me because we had to climb a mountain!

  • the swim would have been hard for me but the run and climb would have been easy for me if i paced my self which i normally don't

  • Actually many people don't prefer doing the swim! So they have a biathlon for this event too with just the bike and run. You could do it!

  • kool but the thing is, i'm 18 and i'm in university so i don't have a job, plus the fact that i live in canada

  • Living in Canada makes it easier to get a visa, and if you're bilingual you have more chances.

  • yea but i'm not bilingual, i'm chinese but i can't talk or understand mandrin

visa i have but then i'll be in debt and i can't find a good paying job right now with all my school work

  • lol you were talking in front of the camera and falling on purpose, and you still was keeping up with the dude in white. Nice job :)

  • lol 2 filling the camel bag

  • u r not taking this race very seriously are u! :) lol

  • look so fun XD

  • coment lol almost done

  • 12 hmmmm harder then last time

  • Awesome and Amazing vid!! I enjoyed this all the way through! 5/5! Nice camera work also and this looked like so much fun!

  • BOOM! Straight in my faves, dude! I laughed from start to finish, but wow, you must be in some kind of shape to be doing that... Nive vid, nice music (gotta check that guy out) and general allround quality. Very nice, my friend.

    Peace

  • I really liked this video! You made it really fun to watch. :D

  • It was fun video! Thanks for a good laugh.

  • wow eric! great job! you are intense. I don't think i will ever do a triathlon lol. But maybe lol. Anyways, I like how you made the race fun for yourself. I was laughing when you were taking all the water and then you were like "i will keep one for somebody" that was great:) great finish also! I was wondering... when you were falling over and stuff, were you just doing that for fun or were you actually really tired?

  • I was genuinely tired, and you do take real falls in an event like this. But just between you and me, I had my acting face on too.

  • o ok lol:) i will keep it a secret

  • Great job!! Seemed like you had a great fun in Niseko. (^-^)/

  • The town of Nisseko is a lot of fun. I would like to spend some more time there this winter snowboarding!

  • This was a truly great vid. So funny, so much work. I've thought about doing the same thing when I do my 50 mile run-- this just cements it. You rock, my man. And by the way, poooooor bike! (Ha ha!)

  • Chris, thanks for noticing the work and time put into this. It took nearly two full days to get this thing edited together and posted.

However, I can't even come close to your efforts and dedication that goes into practice sessions and subsequently the producing of your videos. You're a fantastic educator!

  • Wow! You are very fast.

I wanted also to try it.

  • Ok, let's do it together next year!

  • Amazing sir!

  • Sir? I salute you KansaiPJ!

  • As always, nice work Eric! Enjoyed watching it.

  • As always NichiBeiTrader, thanks for your heart-felt comment. I appreciate you watching.

  • you are beast. you have enough endurance to mess around while running 13km.

  • Nice observation Thechinkyone! It is indeed tricky shooting and performing in a video while competing in an endurance event like this. Thank you for your comment.

  • Good stuff. I enjoyed! I'm in the midst of marathon training at the moment. I'm running my first one in November in Osaka.

  • Ahhhh, your first marathon! What time are you going for?

  • Hey....to be honest, I just want to finish running. Ideally, something under 4 and a half hours would please me!

Hey, if you're ever coming down to Kansai, let me know!

  • My first and only marathon (Honolulu 1998) I was going for no specific time, but wanting to run the whole thing. Well, as fate had it I hit the wall at 35K and walked the majority of the rest of the course to finish up with a time of 4Hrs, 50min.

My goal still stands and some day I would like to try another marathon and run from start to finish. Hmmmm, What's the date in November for your Triathlon?

  • The date is November 2nd.Simple goal....start and finish running...like yours....I'm not worried about times:)

  • How much mileage are you puting in per week?

  • Not training for mileage but for time on the road. I do 4 weekday runs of about 1 hour each and then a long run on the weekends. Last week I did a 2hour15minute run. This weekend I plan to do a 2hour 30 minute run. Been having blister issues lately since I just got new "arch correcting" insoles....missed a few runs lately because of that :(

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks QI. How's the Korean summer treating you?

  • A hell of a lot cooler than AZ!

  • Great job Eric!!!

You remind me a lot of this one guy I go to school with. And definitely be careful with that breakfast, they can really mess you up when it comes to activity like that.

  • I learned my lesson with the big breakfast and will eat small next time.

  • Wow dude!!!! You are a lot more hardcore than I would have originally thought! Like, surfing and swimming sure take energy, but like, a 1.5 kil. swim, 20 kil. bike ride, a 15 kil. run!

Dude, I barely get that much exercise in a year, lol. I'm gonna start up the diet again as soon as vacation is over and I am back to a routine.

Oh yeah, I was supposed to go to Osaka this week, but apparently its Obon, so I might be heading down to Shonana, I'll bring my swim trunksfor sure if so.

  • Come on down Sam I've got heaps of free time now. Let's hit Kuganuma Kaigan in Enoshima (party central).

  • いつもながらパワフルですね~。トライアスロンしながらエンターテイニングゥゥゥ!さすが エリック!Great and Fun Video!

  • Thank you Awesome!

  • Great video!! I bet you smelled horrible after all that looked like you were playing in cow dung!!

  • Thanks and Yep, I smelled horrible and ruined that new white shirt.

  • New event: Bike hurling!

  • It was a rental bike and the chain kept coming off.

  • Ahem, made great video. Fingers are getting sloppy.

    (*^_^;*)

  • Well, it was a long race. Permit me a little bit of sloppy, won't you?

  • Sorry, 'my' fingers were getting sloppy, not yours. Living too long in Japan has made me sloppy with pronouns too.

    (^ω^;)

  • Suxors. Still, it make great video.

  • Suxors?

  • Sorry, slang for "That sucks, dude!"

  • Thanks, Suxors, let me see if I got it. "I Suxors the bug Suxors". Does it work in this context?

  • Bear Bell?? a bit scared.

    It is really cool video.

    Thank you so much.

  • thanks Oborogin!

  • Run Forrest Run!

Just joshin' ... thanks for the videos. Keep them coming.

  • More vids on the way!

  • Started up 3rd, and ended up 3rd to last:P lol, poor bike xP

  • The bike was a rental and the chain kept falling off.

  • i love how much fun you have no matter what you're doing. great vid!

  • That's how I try to live my life. Take any situation and try to pull fun from it. Seminars coming to your city soon.

  • That's bike abuse. Throw it around like that again and I'll report you to the.......uh, idonno. And good job to JB. 5 dirty knucles.

  • Yes, JB did a fantastic job! Thanks for noticing and mentioning it Imasofat!

Many people fail to realise that it's the behind the scenes support that really makes the production successful a lot of the time and these people need to be commended for their work.

  • Such a graceful performance! Woohoo! :o)

  • Graceful?

  • from Venice beach, CA

Sweet vid dude we all love it. and my said they wish they could of done what you did.

  • Venice Beach! Right On! I love that place. Let's see some video of the summer scene.

  • すごおおい!You're so 元気! seemed like you had a great fun! ^_^

Saw you peeing on the bush! hahahahhahahaha *rolling on the floor*

  • Thank you Kitty! You were supposed to look away during the peeing part.

  • whoopsie.. shitsureishimashita. :P

  • Kitty! You make me laugh.

  • Great job! Looks like you had loads of fun.

  • Pain and fun both. If it's all pain, then where's the fun?

  • Fun video. Looks tough course but You are also tough guy. Beautiful view in Niseko. I love to see your video. Thank you !

  • Tough guy idiot, that's me. Thanks for watching.

  • Oh sure, swim DOWNSTREAM! Seriously, What a crackup. Too many opportunities for your hamminess!

Looks like fun. Next time, drag me along. I bet I could do it.

  • Great job, tough guy.

  • Debstef! You could do it, easy! Especially the swim downstream. Although the run included 2000 feet of vertical climb.

  • GO ERIC!!!!! :D

  • Yep, the bear bells worked. Didn't spot any bears.

  • nice speedo

  • I was hoping nobody would notice.

  • no such luck. now i know why you're such a baby machine

  • Awesome Video, Eric! That triathlon looked particularly intense. Did you improve on your time from last year?

    PS. Awesome music!

    Keep up the good work.

  • I was 19 minutes slower than last year, but they changed the course a bit so it's hard to say.

Thanks for the use of your music in this video. You Rock!

  • first view and comment ^^

  • Congrats!

  • 1ST!! You know with those glasses and the hat, you kind of look like Robin Williams...

  • Yep, Robin Williams...I get that once in a while here in Japan, but more often people say I look like Harrison Ford.
