Just because its a Rapala - it will catch fish. Sure, the Rapala lures cost more money, wich to a beginner would say is better than anything else. In general, any popper would work on bass, pike, walleye, even perch and what not. Ive used the skitter Pop for some time, ive used the Frenzy Popper and Rebel-R. It doesnt matter wich one i tie on and cast out, because its the POPPING SOUND and the Surface disturbance that gets fish attention --- Not fancy brands, spicey color or special materials.

If I only had $15-30 to spend, what lures or soft baits would you guys suggest for purchase? I'm going for mostly bass and panfish. Anything that can catch multiple species actually. Any help?

Skitter pop is just unbelievable, and I live in Finland! It just makes the pikes crazy on a hot summer day! Definately one of the best lures I have ever come up with.
im from canada, and Al Linder is my all time, only favorite fisherman. ive watched you since i was in early grade school, now im gonna be 31 this summer :( LOL you rock, and so does anything that has to do with fishing that you and your companies are involved in...Mike
