Have you tested that motor and ESC with the stock NI-MH battery?
If you did, can you tell me if you felt that the performance with this new motor+ESC using the HPI stock battery is a lot better than using the stock motor and ESC?
@avfigueiredo I have test the new motor & esc and it is running just fine. There is a little bit more "punch" when using the lipo, but the MR is running fine with the stock battery.
On the second question - yes there is big difference, but it is coming from the motor not the battery. I haven't test the original motor outside, but now when I am at home it is almost impossible the press the trigger to the max, because the MR is just 2 fast, and 2 furious with the new setup. :)
@avfigueiredo np. BTW you can test with even bigger motor if you want to "risk it", but in the end of the day, more of the parts in the Mini Recon are plastic, so I decide to go with 3100kV motor.
@strangeraFTW Yes, you're right. I started by looking at a 5200kv and a 7800kv motor but I don't want to have to change all my transmission to metal right now. 3100kv is just what I need to give it a little boost and still be able to maintain the stock transmission.
@avfigueiredo On the battery part - there is not so big difference between the original battery, and the lipo (except the capacity). "Voltage wise" in the end of the day, the original is 7.2V, and the lipo that I have is 7.4. Plus the lipo is lighter then the original battery pack,

I dropped a associated reedy 9500 combo in my recon with a 3S lipo MIP SUPER DIFFS and a steel spur gear. 15t pinion. Super fast!

@strangeraFTW I'm sold.
I'm going to buy that motor and esc to give my MR more power and speed.
Thanks for the fast reply.
