Actors in Disney character costumes see thru the character's eyes, which have "view ports" in the black areas. This differs from the costumes at, for instance, Sesame Place, where the costumes and their heads are enormous and the actors see thru black mesh in the mouths, (really, that's true), except for Big Bird, whose tie is transparent and Oscar, whose puppeteer sees thru a hole in the garbage can..
