You know, I always wondered if Rose's granddaughter came from a child she had with Jack. She did have sex with him before Titanic sank, she could've gotten pregnant.

Guys this isn't an alternate ending, its a bunch of clips cut out and stuck together, didn't you all realise that when Rose was on the door everybody around her was dead, but when her and Jack were swimming to the boat, you can still see people swimming and screaming in the background? Either way, its still very believable. I personally disagree with those who say what made the ending was Jack dying, it would have been beautiful if they had lived to an old age and died together.
@xoSilentStarox It would have ruined the whole point in the film, if he lived. :')) What makes the Titanic so special is that it's impossible love. It would have been way too predictable. One big reason Titanic (film) is so famous is because of the ending, and it's unpredictability. The way it stirs so many emotions into 2 hours, with just plain reality, (in my opinion.) is just amazing and talented. <3

It allowed the audience to personally experience a small portion the loss that the Titanic passengers felt that night for their own loved ones. If you read the description, I made this video to practice editing skills, not to challenge Cameron's ending.
@InDepthPerception Yes, I have read the description, (great editing by the way) It was just my conclusion that happy ending wouldn't work for this movie, and I'm sure that "Titanic" wouldn't be so famous worldwide if Rose and Jack survived. One of them had to die in order to FEEL the movie, not just to watch it because you have 3 hours of free-time......... I really feel this move. I'm a man, but I can barely hold my tears in the last 30 min of the movie.
@DLB01992 I like this ending too. It show how the survivors went on with their lives after the tragedy. I am not bashing the printed film, but I find the ending too empty. Jack dies, a brief shot of Rose on the Carpathia and that's it. I would have loved to see more of an ending. They should have made the beginning shorter to make a better or longer ending with Rose being rescued.
I do love this ending. I think it's so much happier, and it's great editing and clip work, but there are only two problems. Jack isn't with Rose when she's telling the story, plus the movie has to end on Rose telling the story, that's all, but if it was told in Present Terms and not flashback. This would work really well.

It's hard to describe, but as sad as it was, it was better that Jack died. If both Jack and Rose would have gone on, then their romance on the Titanic wouldn't have meant as much.

I still like having the alternate ending for us people who wanted him to live. Because he dies in the theatrical, it makes me happier to see a version where he lives as I wanted him to.

But I understand James Camerons point on not wanting it ti be a happy ending completly because in real life there wher almost no compleate happy endings almost everyone on bored Titanic lost there lover or a loved on he wanted to keep the film as real as possiable.
