@CarCrazyMike82 Why a duramax? Obviosly there is'nt much room to work, so they used an engine that doesn't need it's head pulled every 30k. It's about time a hummer had a real diesel in it.
@caniwitech srry to tell ya dude but after the 03 durmax they havent had any problems i actually have an 08 2500 hd chevy with a duramax and its got just over 100,000 on it and i havent had anything go wrong with my engine at all or my transmission actually the most i have dont to it since i bought it is oil changes and brakes so get your facts straight before you talk shit! im not downing the cummins i love the 5.9 12 valve i used to own before my duramax
@TheWildchild59jr hes kinda right tho cause i see duramaxs in our shop all the time with blown heads (newer than 2003), but other than that, they are solid motors and come with way better trannies, but im sorry to sound repetitive, but nothing out there can touch a straight six's overall performance.
@caniwitech or the fact that you can have a bad ass fully customized cummins swap for less than it would cost to swap in a stock duramax. not knocking the dmax but from a price stand point cummins makes more sense. plus it just sounds like it was made to sit in the h1.
@TheDeag1e I WAS knocking the duramax. after re-reading my comment, i can see how it is harder to understand than i meant it to be. my point was that the cummis is a real engine, and does not require heavy repairs, well, ever. The duramax engine;s make power, but at the expense of durability. Cummins all the way!
y not 12 valve?
