i have a question for you would i mix a track with vocals on it using th same process, ? and if doing what u have done in the video, can i still apply hard limiting dynamics processing and multiband compressing ? to my vocals in adobe audition and then master using what u have taught me or will that mess up my vocals ?
lol just that track, its in my head now! Very good video, really has given me some great knowledge of how to use the tools available to me, thanks for your hard work :)
in any case im discovering that a track is mastered o cording to what the track calls for. i really have come to see this because of har bal. reference files of tracks that sound perfect register completely different waves than others.
also i use allot of resonance on certain things. i create allot of low mid sonic detail with it. it works fine in one way but seems to cause allot of problems with the mastering process. does that sound right?
Can you tell me how do i export in wav, or other format. Sorry for the stupid question but i am new to wavelab. Oh yeah, and your tutorial didn't learn me to masterize, but i learnd lots of things and i think that's the point. bye.
Thanks for the tutorial!...I will see if I can incorporate your ideas into my process :)....you're a good person for taking the time to do this sort of stuff...stay the way you are brotha...and good music to by the way!
This is a great tutorial. These tips apply to most, if not all plugins currently used for mastering and mix downs. Very good job kind sir. Cudos for emphasizing LISTENING, most get caught up in presets as a one click fix.
Only thing to remember, you can't polish a turd. Don't blame mastering for not "FIXING" your track 8-)
Thanks so much for these videos. You dont know how much I have learnt especially searching on here forever trying to find tutorials on now to master music. Yous i by far the best
