Thats what I really hate about Jade, hes a good mage and all, but he never wants to cast! Thats why I kept Anise cause she could hold her own while fighting

Yeah I know what you mean. If you set Jade's strategy to "Artes Only" then he will cast all the time. =) I just recently found out about this.

Actually MOST of the time he'll cast. I just dont wanna use up 12 life bottles on Jade so I stayed with Anise

Yeah, as I said above, set Jades's strategy to "Artes Only" and set it so he uses 100% of his TP. Same with Tear and Anise.
