go to settings then Display and Light settings

than in Display Setting and touch Main menu style set it to black and u are done

Than you will see 2 options: 'Display settings' and Light settings'. Click on Display Settings and than 'Main menu style'. Than click on 'Black' if you want your menu black.

Yeah i didn't want to say that samsung hase bad screen, but iPhone has better screen than samsung. It's another technology, samsungs screen works on bounding two layers (i think), and iphone works on detecting electricity from your body, so wich one dou you think is better?

Ik ga me ook zaterdag de Samsung Touchwiz halen. Ik vind het een super mooie telefoon, niet te groot, lekker dun en toch degelijk en voldoet aan al mijn (vrij strenge) eisen.

De iPhone is natuurlijk ook masterlijk maar veel te groot en er zitten TEVEEL snufjes en onnodigen dingetjes op.

ik vind de touchwiz bijna perfect, het enige wat ik ongelofelijk jammer vind is dat het scherm niet dwars gaat als je de telefoon dwars houd(ik weet niet hoe dat heet). dat vind ik echt heel erg jammer :(

internet is met deze telefoon een makkie. je kunt met een vinger over de pagina 'zweven', maar het blijft een telefoon, het is geen pc.

ik heb mijn touchwiz van vodafone, 2 jarig abbo á 17.50 per maand. Met nummerbehoud dus hoefde ik slechts 5 euro voor het toestel te betalen. als ik veel internet sluit ik gewoon een blox aan.

HTC heeft tenminste overal internet, met dezelfde kosten, en met hi ook nog eens verdubbelde SMSjes waardoor je veel goedkoper uitbent dan de iphone.

Tevens heeft de diamond ook een goeie internet zoom, maarja, daar word dan natuurlijk weer niks over gezegt.

Windows mobile is handig, want je kan meer uitbreiden.

Iphone is handiger als je voornamelijk een gadget wil ipv. een mobiel, goedkoper kan je ook de ipod-touch kopen, kun je alleen niet bellen......

Buy a phone to call with, not to take pics. It comes in handy that a camera is present. Also the internet feature is awesome. In the future there are no home pc's anymore. Only hand helds, like these phones/PDA's. I think (with keepimng my eye on the future) that the iPhone 3G is the best choise :-)

Let me explain. I guess you never held one in your hands. The iPhones screen is moving things as you touch it.Its a whole different feeling then the HTC diamond I tried it. With my HTC cruise it was a pain not so enjoyable to move around. The iPhone has awsome 3D capabilities. The iPhone has the best webrowser that ever excisted for a mobile phone. Yes Flash is missing but it is only a software issue. Windows Mobile crashes a lot and its slow cause lack of realy good drivers.

I do have an iPhone as well as HTC Diamond and many other phones since i work for a firm that does phone applications. I am aware that touch works differently on iPhone (direct response) than it works on HTC Diamond (response after gestures) but thats just different aproach. The best 3D i saw so far was on old Nokia N93 using NVidia chipset, but quess what i dont really need 3D at all and if i do the HTC Diamonds 3D is up to par with the iPhone so not that much of a difference there.

The diamond 3D is lagging. I ve seen one. Thats why I like the iPhone the software is worked out perfectly. Unlike the HTC is a mod for the Windows Mobile which isnt the best solution. Apple had his own system to work into a phone.

I am aware that iPhone is a good phone but unfortunately its not enough for me, quirky GPS which only works with gmaps so far, no A2DP BT profile and this is a huge flaw since you cant add A2DP support by simply making an app this needs atleast a FW upgrade which will prolly never happen. You know, iPhone has a great potential. Apple built a great phone and blocked its potential and now it will release new versions with some features unblocked, and you will end up buying new iPhones each year:/

Btw the webbrowser on HTCDiamond is better than iPhone one,go check some reviews you'll be surprised. About the WM stability this is a myth, this was true before around the CE times, but last years WM5 and now WM6 its a lot more stable and surprisingly lot more responsive than Symbian for examle,me being Nokia fan for years its hard for me to say it but its true. :( It still doesnt have the base as large as Symbian tho, developing on WM is easier too, MS knows how to do dev tools thats for sure.

the WM stability isnt a myth. I had an HTC touch cruise. Gave me a hard time. And it didnt give me the experience I thought it would give. After I touched an iPhone I couldnt even say that I keep the HTC. I sold it.

The Iphone has Mac OSX which is indeed an OS. Its a computer thats why it can run severel apps. The difference between the iPhone and the Diamond in my opinion is the software.the Diamond has great 3D graphics just like the iPhone, nice GUI. But the iPhones GUI for me looks more thought out and the use of the interface feels more natural. When my friend bought a Diamond and tried to use it he had to learn the movements to feel it.Nothing like that happened on the Iphone it was natural.

Yep even thou its (a lot modified) MacOS the problem is its totally blocked, you cant do system modifications or applications that directly affect it, believe me i do this stuff for living. Now with iPhone SDK its better but still its a limited framework for limited applications. :( Not a smartphone at all, but so what, no one ever said iPhone is a smartphone, just live with it and dont compare it to smartphones.

I didnt compare it to smartphones. I compare it to pda phones like HTC touch devices those arent smart phones as I know, they are pda phones. For the time being at the iPhone I didnt even feel the need to have such modifications in the navigation but I dont think that being able to modify those things is going to make it a smartphone. But I aggre that Apple is blocking too much from the end users in the software part. I didnt say its not true. But the iPhone is a computer also. Thats all I say.

apple is making quality products but still i will not buy because it is not great as it seems. their marketing is just superb thats it. Also nowadays phones have 3-5 megapixel cameras so that you don't need digital camera +video calling, BTW opera mobile 9.5 is as good or better than safari

if you want to use the phone as a camera its not a choice for you. I have touched an iPhone AND a windows mobile device also. From the software experience I got. I understand that There are more programs for Window Mobile, There are good programs. But the Mac OSX for the iphone is just a different world. Feels different. Feels better I felt at home with it, unlike with the Windows Mobile software. Thats just my opinion : )
