I dream of screaming "fucking pussies leeroyyyyyy jenkinnnssss" jumping down while doing a 720 ski cross grab double backflip and skiing down without putting in a single turn. Who's with me?
The first skier is sporting ski boot's from the 80's and second is rockin' tele's, dropping the right side is tougher than it looks. So to all that feel like they are ready to do some armchair quarterbacking.......stay in NZ
@jackharre - Its not the slope, its the initial drop, and the danger of hitting the rocks depending on where you drop from. There are multiple drop points off this couloir, from high to low. The reason why this couloir is so famous is because you access it right off the tram. Jackson Hole has extremely dangerous, insane drops and slopes. This isnt even close to what else there is out there. I have been to craigeburn and its not shit compared to some of the terrain in jackson.

I skied this a lot. It's not that hard. These guys were a little tentative. I rip it from top to bottom with noskidding. TThe trick is to have narrow skis and carve with your egeds.
I stuck it twice in 2000 just like these guys in the film, first time was pretty scary but I landed ok, not so bad. These things are always a head game. Second time I took a little spill but skied out of it.
@sunkistdrinks1-Yeah, this stuff is harder on variable or windpack conditions [anything is really]...but this looks awesome, I would LOVE to do this run! BING! There,-it's on my 'to do before I die' list now... :)
They're doing it the easy way (not that I can do it at all). I've seen someone go in without stepping down into it first, and I've heard someone describe a snowboarder who went up to the edge to look into it, went back up back through the gates, and rode down into the "viewing area" and without stopping fell in doing a back flip and landing perfectly. I wish I was there to see that.
people have pointed it off the cornice from over 50 feet out before...someone has also ridden a snowmobile into it...I wouldn't say there is an easy way into, especially if you have never done it my friend...

Legendary run but nothing special (except for saying you've done it). Will do it before I die but there are almost a million peaks more fucking demanding than this.
Right next to it is the Simms and Sands Couloir which is much more difficult, but Corbet's is the hardest run on a ski map in North America. And on the other side is something called Piggy, which some say is theoretically possible to ski down without injury but no one has ever done it. I don't even know if you can call that skiing or just falling.
yea ummmmm. no

I wanna do this drop so badly it looks sick. Time for a road trip to Wyoming!

I would maybe do this, but I would have to bitch about it the whole time...it's my coping mechanism.

This isn't as hard as it looks. I've done it a few ways. I'm hoping to get a kite in there and float off it next winter.

This is how more should enter this run. The kick turn into it is perfect. Bravo! - I'm sure Doug Coombs would make it look like apple pie.

Spending my skiing life scratching around hills in WV and PA, it is always refreshing to witness what the big boys are experiencing.
What impresses me is that your video clip just shows a couple buddies spending a day on their local hill. Keeps dreams alive for old guys like me.
