  • I remember waking up at 3:55 AM every weekday to watch The Ink And Paint Club which had that Vault Disney Intro and I loved it. XD This is what they should show on Saturday mornings for ABC Kids.

  • I remember watching Disney all day as a kid and as soon as Vault Disney would start I would watch the intro and stay up and see it but would crash out as soon as it finished ha

  • I never watched the films but I would almost always watch the intro cause it looked really cool.

  • I've been looking for a good quality version of the 1981-1983 Walt Disney intro; the others on YouTube are either the really cool extended version or bad quality versions of the short intro, lol. I was born in '79, so I have some fond, if vague, memories of that opening sequence :)

  • i hate how Disney thinks their doing a good job by experimenting and trying hard to be new and in with the new technology that is being presented day by day, but all they're doing is ruining themselves..

  • Herbie *-*

  • After a long and difficult road this video has revealed itself! This is The HOLY GRAIL of Disney Channel videos!

  • very trippy. lol. still loved it

  • This was my favorite part of the whole night. (Well this and from ink to paint club.)

  • I was upset when Valt Disney ended in mid 2002.

  • Walt Disney would've been furious if he was still livin. Vault Disney should've gotten its own channel as soon as it ended.

  • I wish there was a way to bring this intro back. This was always one of my favorites.

  • p.s. I also think that things like this and shows from around this time is what disney channel was meant to be like, to make youre imagination, as a kid, to run wild. that aint happenin when you watch hannah montanna or wizards of waverly place. its gotten horrible.

  • I always think about this, and Im so glad I finally see it again so I know Im not crazy, because none of my friends remember. The black and white shows used to scare me!

  • the ending is epic!!

  • This makes me miss my mom. I loved watching Vault Disney with her really late at night.

  • Disney Channel was at it's best when it was new. It got to cable 1983. From '85 through '89 I was 5 to 9 and have great memories of 80's Disney Channel. It was family friendly with great tributes to the classics. 1990 - 1994 I was 10 to 14. They showed quality kid's shows, cartoons, Avonlea (a costume drama) and quality films. In 1995 and 1996, I was 15 and 16 and stopped watching. i was already too "grown up". But I've seen the 2000's and today's Disney channel and IT IS IN HELL. RIP..

  • it's so sad to see what disney has now become...if walt disney were still alive he'd throw a fit.

  • @alilovestokiohotel hed be going hitler on everybody!

  • Loved it

  • aw ! i always loved this opening, whenever i saw it i would go right in front of the tv and pretend i was riding the ride . haha .

  • dang i really miss this. :/

  • wow i almost forgot about this, where did it go

  • @vikingthrone345 its gone like the rest of the good stuff...

  • The vault disney intro used to scare the crap out of me in I was little. LOL

  • @QueenNicole92 Same with me except it wasn't this. It was the 1991 lilac-blue Feature Presentation logo.

  • wow, how did Disney channel go from this to...well the stupid crap that my little brother watches now...*sighs*

Well...at least it's not as bad a massacre as what they did to Nickelodeon...now that really brings tears to my eyes : (

  • Your right Blood but you forgot Cartoon Network. Now that murder.

  • I agree that Disney is nothing like it was in the 90's, but they butchered Nickelodeon worse. Disney is at least still "somewhat" semi-watchable....they just took all of the classic elements out. Nickelodeon sucks, though.

  • @BloodWind Not as bad as what cartoon network turned into...

  • please, someone knows the name of the song at 0:18 to 0:22??? thaaanks

  • Mickey Mouse March

  • aw man i loved vault disneys opening!

  • i always thought the disney vault was scary but i coul never stop watching it. i still am a disney fan.

  • ah mann... sitll remember those from when i was 2. it was one of those things that made me run to my couch screaming. and now it makes me run to my chair creeped out.

  • I always thought the Vault Disney intro was a little creepy. The "80s Disney Special" opening, which follows it, isn't for a special at all - it was the 1981-83 opening of the weekly anthology series, which was on CBS at the time and was simply titled "Walt Disney" (early incarnations were "Wonderful World of Disney", "Disneyland", etc.).

  • i remember this in the 90's as well lol

  • This is a brilliant video! Combining these two intros brought great memories to the vault-Thank you!

  • I'm liking that funky 80s beat. Too bad, I can't remember that, I was just a mere baby. But, I definitely remember that first one. Good Times.

  • Disney is cool. I love it. I'm 15... but it doesn't metter.. hehe.

  • The little snipped of music between 00:23 and 00:27 - what movie was that from?

  • mary poppins

  • LOL!!! I remember seeing this on the Disney Channel late at night in 1998 I'm talking about the 1st one

  • I miss Davey Crockett and Zorro.

  • good times *sniff*

  • 80s Special Intro kicks ass!

  • I LOVE VAULT DISNEY

  • The cheap CGI! It burns!!
