Why the jumping footwork? Apart from that I have little issue, but that jumping footwork where the person in sneakers was bouncing back and forth threw me off.
From watching videos on Youtube about Bokken sparring I noticed two things, one how to do it incorrectly and recklessly, and two how it should be done properly. Your video is definitely the latter one in my opinion, very respectful and clean. It is a far cry away from most of the the Bokken sparring which is teenagers swinging the Bokken around like a baseball bat. Thanks for posting these videos, they really are one good example out of 100 bad ones.
which would be better in terms of sword trainning kendo or aikido? or can i hear your thoughts if you've any suggestion on what i should take as far as only sword fighting that would be helpful
@DarkBlaze1000 depends on your targets - best for sword training is one of the old japanese ryus. Kendo is good for the drilling, aikido is very dependent from the teacher. Not an answer, could be answered straight away.
@DarkBlaze1000 If your Aikido classes don`t do real sparring, forget it, unless, perhaps you have been doing katas for 25 years or so! One needs to get in there and really spar. This is where all of your kata training will be tested. With a sword, I believe the object is to not get hit(cut).......destroying your opponent should be second on your list. Every time you get hit with a practice sword you should realize you have failed...unless a small wound results the end of your opponents attacks
STICK TO YOUR BALLET LESSONS, cocky prick. and don`t lesson me on respect, you bald hypocrite. come get your certificate here. we`re awaiting the flamboyant ballerina (the keyboard warrior standing first in line, of course).
these are incredibly fun to watch. wish i was there in person. by the way, i don't know who composed the accompanying music, but that was almost as fun to listen to as the sparring was to watch. kudos, guys, and thanks again.
