  • Wish I could find this as a download!!

  • YEAH!!!! THANK YOU YOUTUBE!!!! THE BEST PLACE TO FIND ALL THE 8OS SONGS FROM LONG AGO......this was the first concert I ever saw......crazy!!! I met them years later......Have a Happy Thanksgiving to all Americans..

  • Quiet yet Powerful

  • great song, wish we had a better video, someone? OMG! Retro!

  • This is my favourite Canadian CD, Vertigo Tango. Jump on the 401 and crank it up, look out for speeding tickets. Seriously, this CD and band were very much underated.

  • I'm having a quiet moment looking at all our old videos. Some I haven't looked at for over twenty years! Great memories. Hope to see you all out there this summer as we tour for our new Static In Transmission album.

  • @gorddeppe Hey Gord. Static in Transmission is great, as is Waterline. Just wanted to tell you it's taken me years to figure out where I got the idea for the metronome drum part in a song I co-wrote over fifteen years ago and demoed last year. Guess this means you're an influence. ;)

  • The keyboardist was my middle school math teacher. What a cool guy.

  • I really, really wish someone had a good sounding version of this song. This song is amazing and well produced. This version is just not doing it justice.

  • Where can I find Vertigo Tango??!!

  • stil cant understand why this album wasnt a bigger hit......it was brilliant

  • A gorgeous, rich song

  • Another Canadian Classic that everyone missed... This song is a absokute gem.

Listen to Rudy - Miss you.

  • No I did not direct, Kari Skogland did, for the infamous Champagne Pictures. I was the Director of Photography.

  • Great song...great video!

  • Hey great memories!! This was my first underwater scuba shot, never used scuba gear and the next thing I have an underwater camera and I am weighted and sitting on the bottom of the pool!! LOL

I made them put black cloth in the pool to make it dark and all the colour ran into the filters, what a mess, ;-)

Yes all the boat shots are in a pool.

  • jettrun, u direct this vid?!

  • @jettrun OUTSTANDING JOB FOR A BAND THAT WAS VERY UNDER RATED.

  • Really, thanks so much for posting this wonderful classic song!!!!!!!

  • It's been too long! What a nice song.

  • it's good!

  • Nice

  • Saw the Spoons 2 weeks ago and they played this song - Great stuff and they still deliver live. See them if you get the chance.

  • i love this song it reminds me of fall

  • Oh, Thank You.... a absolute Canadian classic!! I love the bridge part of this song!!

  • Great tune by another talented Canadian band.....thanks for posting!

  • I still have the tape, when it first came out...still listen to it now and then.

  • Too bad this is cropped. There is about 1 min of the song's outro missing.

  • Sandy & Gord make a great looking duo, What's the scoop on them, are they married, shacked up or is this a business relationship?

  • They were strictly business. Friends before that, actually.

  • Thanks

  • They're both married with children but with each other.

It's true they are both great looking.

  • Sorry, I meant to write "but NOT with each other"! Oops. :)

  • righto

  • This is a great song. I was happy to play it on the radio in my former 'dj' days.

  • Great tune...

  • Great song and video by the best Canadian band ever! Love the juxtapositioning water, waves and reflections off band members Gord & Sandy... And despite the water off the snare effect having been done before I can't think of a better use of it, here... Man, I've seen the Spoons just a half dozen times and I just can't get enough. When I first saw the Spoons in '82 at the Police Picnic @theCNE they immediately became my favourite band... the Spoons rock dude!

  • The songwriting still was top notch during this period in their career. Not sure how big of a hit it was in Canada but, boy, brilliant song all around.

  • Ah this is a great song, and I resisted it for a long time being a hard core spoons fan for so long before it. But I can surely say now, this was one of their best. And as for that Martindale comment, damn, you know IIV would have sounded cool doing that song their way.

  • Think it was shot by " Champagne " media..swimming pool... late night sessions....Beautiful stuff..always loved it. Dale Martindale from IMages in Vogue says its his fav Spoons tune..............

  • my fav song and video of theirs

  • I totally agree! Their best by far!

  • Awsome song. Has a sort of U2 fell to it. The Keyboard player from spoons who later went on to Honeymoon suite played on my dads record.

  • wow this has same sort of dark beauty as nova heart, bit different tho

  • Finally! Ive been looking for this song. I was startig to think it was all in my head! thank you!

  • fine tune........

  • fantastic, I agree a excellent song from superb album

  • I had a dream - this song was IN my dream. Hard to believe, but sure...yeah! But when I found the VERTIGO TANGO album all these years later, I bought it within an instant. AWESOME!
