  • Wonderful Playing! As a trombonist and enthusiast of "modern" literature that stretches the ear, I'm excited to see you playing Hindemith on your senior recital. You've really come a long way; the subtle shapings of your phrases breathe life and humanity into what could've been yet another jarring rendition of an atonal piece. Playing robustly with the utmost control is the biggest challenge in expressing Hindemith, and you nailed it. Keep playing like that; you will go far!
