Sounds like theyre preparing for war. A world war. Get the sanctions in, divert the resources, weaken countries for land invasions.

Not many people know this but in WW1 the first place any British battalion landed was Iraq and that was to secure the newly discovered oil. The African war which goes largely unmentioned was for resources and so was the battle for Stalingrad.
