  • This would never work in mma. Nice little move to pull on the white-belts though in the gym :-)

  • holy shit this channel is awesome why didnt i discover it sooner

  • "it's one of the few ones that i've felt, and i was like "i would tap to that""

  • this. is. a. great. option....

  • Nice video.

Imanari demonstrates a similar hold in his super grappling dvd from butterfly guard and with an arm drag, but folks at my club have pretty well caught onto it now. I'll have to try your way :)

    Thanks for sharing.

  • I have an actual brachial plexus injury..... this is total bullshit and definitely doesnt work.. nothing to do with the brachial plexus

  • this would never work! You can post and yank it out! You would have to be retarded to let someone so deep on your arm. And it hurts but in a real fight once you let go he is fighting you again like nothing happen!

  • Lmao "I would tap to that"

  • @AdrianAwesome69 i love how he gets surprisingly serious when he says that.

  • snap out. Lol

  • where can I find these subs and sweeps from that position you speak ok. This seems like ti would help me a lot. Thx pls.

  • Sorry but the Brachial Plexus is higher, your hitting the ulner nerve,

  • Pinching a nerve is not allowed. Pressing against a nerve is legal.

  • im sure you could sneak it in there to move onto a sweep

  • It's a great sweep and even works from half guard.

  • isnt that concidered a pressure point attack and would be illegal in most MMA contests

  • sorry. anatomy nazi here. i may be wrong but i don't think you can consider that a brachial plexus cutter. what you are doing is compressing the median and ulnar nerves, that run in the me medial bicipital groove. the brachial plexus is higher up. anyway, keep on calling it brachial plexus cutter. (sounds really cool!)

  • @shewvrain

100% correct. The brachial plexus is basically above/behing the clavical.

  • The Brachial Plexus runs up to your brain on each side of your neck, with a quick hook/hammer fist/palm heel strike to the right spot [which is pretty big] you can knock someone out instantly. The strike makes your nervous system think that you have had an arm "Traumatically severed" and you go into shock. I learned this move from a friend in the Austin P.D. !!!CAUTION!!! Permanent nerve damage or DEATH can be a result of hard strike to this nerve cluster!!! TRAIN SLOW AND EASY WITH THIS ONE...

  • The Brachial Plexus doesn't run up to your head, it runs to your arm. It starts with Spinal nerves C5-T1, none of which go to your head. No paralysis (other than your arm/shoulder) or death can occur. Love, "A happy med student"

  • dude this hurts soooo bad, worst pain lock i ever felt

  • It almost looks like you could get this to work standing or on the ground without your guard enguaged if you had someone pressed up against the cage and the right opening presented itself.

    Any thoughts on this?

  • That's a spectacular idea. I see it as a heavy control option from the wrestler's Two On One. Not a finisher from there but a method to slow the game and set up takedowns. If you play with it let us know how it goes. If you can put up a vid that's even better!

  • Awesome, and make sure you guys keep up with the great vids too.

  • I want to move there and live there learning the skills from the masters. how come i do this? i been tot he site and a full year is roughtly 1,500 to 2,000USD. my question is this: i don't live there/i live herre in oklahoma/could i paid in full then like rent out a room and just train all waking hours minus food time and bedtime?

  • good for gunting too

  • @TakingItToTheMMAT

Hi ,is there an escape from this move you can reffer me to?

  • @tfwaller yeah its pretty easy to counter....if you relax its very painfull....so just tense up hard... and use your spare hand to push forward on your opp elbow. simple but if you do end up in that postion you are in very much danger of armbars sweeps and taking your back

  • @whoady4shoady i wouldn't try it standing. you'll probably cop alot of damage or end up on your back

  • Yes, do tap quickly...too much pressure and repeated pressure can cause the dreaded Thoracic Outlet Syndrome!

  • Ha, I'm lovin the sound of that!

  • I know exactly which nerve bundle you're talking about. You can hit the same spot by triangling your legs over a kimura lock from side mount and then extending your hips up. It's a nasty submission.

Shane Brenner caught me with one of those once and because I didn't tap fast enough, my arm went numb for 30 minutes.

  • Thanks! You also gave me some idea's of my own :D

  • Very good and you can use the arm drag to break posture(another one) and get the over hook too. I like this idea because you can raise your elbow to block punches too plus and the sweeps armbar's and strikes. Yes nice ideas!!

  • GREAT again... :)

  • Very nice! I'll try this next time I roll. Thanks!
