What you didnt learn from this scene is that Bulletproof vests would not save Doc. He would be dead, yes its a movie and its more plausible than indiana jones escaping a nuclear explosion in a refridgerator but its still bs. He'd be dead despite the bullet proof vest. Bulletproof vests worn underclothes are effective against MOST handguns, an assualt rifle would rip him to shreds. The more you fuckers know the more you fuckers know :)

@gimmealiteracola yep, although if he had a modern ceramic plate as well as a layer of kevlar he could have taken maybe one bullet to the chest and lived. some have. but your point is valid. getting shot 5-10 times with an AK-47 at near point blank range is not survivable.
