Hey man, not to hate on your setup or anything, but by having the subs in the front of the trunk facing forward is really losing alot of their efficiency. If you were to simply flip them around and have them facing the back of the trunk but still in the front area of it, they would be alot louder. I had mine the same way till someone told me different. The trunk really resonates the low notes well, makes it sound louder, deeper, and muffles out any buzzing or unwanted noise. Good luck :D
dnick454 nah well i tried that already , but the low bass, might sound better inside the car but it doesnt throw out the car that much and the vibration of the trunt take away alot of the bass, if i had a wagon and i faced it back it would be alot louder but i understand what you're trying to say
If you get dynamat and face the subs away from you, it will sound WAY better. It will dampen the sound, have less rattle...and it will use the dynamat as sort of a material to keep the bass inside the car instead of losing all the sound through the trunk.
@dnick454 At 800w RMS efficiency will never be a problem. As an installer in Trinidad as well (where this car is from) I will tell you this fella has the right concept. Rear firing speakers do not add efficiency, they add volume and depth within the vehicle. We in Trinidad pride ourselves on the throw and tremor of a bass line (trippin off alarms from 2 streets away). Trust me, by having them throwing out in front, he is in order!
big up to all trini... lol
