All the comments are wrong I am a Soldier in the Salvation Army. Where I am I know where all the donations go for. The kettles that you see outside of local stores that money goes to help people who can't afford a meal. Think of this one dollar goes for three meals. The SA Officers and Members break there own doctrines, and regulations and once your a member you sign a contract that you can't sue anyone in the orginisation, they cover each others arses because they have strong links with the Police and Social services, there disability descrimination is over looked and needs a good kick in the arse !! People in wheelchairs are treated like shit because one seat has to be removed so they can see the service ! The devils in disguise :@

I'm sorry that one person has clouded your perspective of an excellent organisation that is founded upon faith in God and good deeds. I hope that you may be open minded enough not to judge by one experience. You will find a warm welcome at the army and they do their best in sometimes very difficult circumstances.

The Salvation Army isn't perfect and they do have rules they have to follow so trying to make a GREAT organization who helps many people seem like they don't care about anyone and don't use their money right is WRONG ask any officers child we aren't rich we give ALL we can to our community. I was an assistant officer's child and it was hard. I had to be moved around all the time and going to disaster calls. We never had much money.
