Stating the fact that the programs are expensive is a really poor argument. If you didn't know already, the U.S. has a huge debt for decades, and yet there's a war going on for 7 years.
If you are opposed to universal healthcare, then go question who's gonna pay for the war.

No I don't. You made a general statement that you have to support the mission or you otherwise hate the troops. My question wasn't targeting the iraq specifically. You can pick any war you want. Another example: Hitler sent troops to Stalingrad where they died by the thousands. Did the (german) people who wanted to end the war (and not support the mission) hate the german troops?

Yes they did. Tell me, why do people hate lawyers? Because of their job/occupation. They are inexhorably linked. Likewise Dems hate soldiers because of what they do. We can see this many times. We saw it in Vietnam, first Gulf War, and now. They may try to hide their hate but everyone knows their true feelings. They hold back money and supplies constantly.

I don't hate soldiers. On the the contrary: I admire their courage. BUT I don't support the war. There are some wars that are necessary and some are not. And you can't blame the soldiers for the stupid decisions of the politicians.
Sorry but if you think that you have to support the death of thousands of soldiers in order to not hate them then you have to be delusional.

Edwards founded a poverty center that helped many people and gave scholarships to many students. He's the only candidate talking about our 200,000 homeless vets. Mr. Edwards personal wealth could go a long way to help some of these people, and still plenty left for haircuts

No it couldn't. Don't be foolish. How can one person fix America's problems? This is such a petty way of looking at wealth--two of the most progressive people to ever run for president were incredibly wealthy (FDR and RFK). What is important is not his wealth, but his commitment to causes of poverty, universal education, making college affordable... Plus he is the only candidate not taking money from lobbyists and big corporations (Obama takes from both despite his clever wording).
