@SwissHockeyVids you and all those others who think it's a goal are going by the line rule, this is a momentum play, the glove was out of the net before the shot was stopped, therefore the play ended right there and the puck didnt go in the net until the play was over.

Maybe they should implement and rule where they can use common sense to award a goal. They could have looked at it this way, If the puck goes in the glove and the glove goes in the net then where is the puck? The answer is the puck is in the net!

pause at 1:11 you see the goal line? look at the part of the glove in front of it. its pure white, no sign of the puck. Unless gerber pulled of a criss angel, the puck can only be in the mesh of the catcher,which is behind the line. if you look carefully at it you can sorta see a black smudge liek thing in the mesh of the catcher also

Sorry. The puck must be with the FULL extent behind the line. If the puck stands on the edge and is behind the line, it is still no goal. Reread it in the rule book. It is like that. Canada was into so far better and better however it gives also miracles and that was one.

Note that the bird's eye view camera is not precisely positioned above the cross bar. So you have to give Gerber some 5-10 cm. Which probably makes it no goal. If it was a goal, still: he was too strong in that game anyway.
Following logic, that should be a goal, but isn't the rule something to do with seeing indisputable evidence that the puck was in the net? On those grounds, it's an awesome save, he did really well to get his glove there in time.

Note that the bird's eye view camera is not precisely positioned above the cross bar. So you have to give Gerber some 5-10 cm. Which probably makes it no goal. If it was a goal, still: he was too strong in that game anyway.

Following logic, that should be a goal, but isn't the rule something to do with seeing indisputable evidence that the puck was in the net? On those grounds, it's an awesome save, he did really well to get his glove there in time.

If you look at the last replay in this video you can see the puck is in the back of his glove and is over the goal line.
Should have been a goal.

your all retarded. The puck was not all the way it. it was mostly in but not all the way. the rule states that if it is not 100% in then its a no goal.
