I wish you was my neighbor. Hunting, fishing, growing your own fruits and vegetables is the only way to survive in this economy for the next 20 years. Keep growing everyone.
I love this video! It has lot's of good ideas. Thank you so much. GOD bless you and I hope you keep coming up with great ideas. You know there was a time when people had to take care of themselves. And I think that if the LORD tarries that time is going to come around again.
I think I'll look to see if I could barder some house cleaning for scrap wood and straw.
Here, the diversity of semi-arid plants, prickly pear, tonali fruit(of the prickly pear), sour guamische(barrel cactus berry), sweet garambullos(another barrel cactus berry), huizache pods(mezquite or acacia tree) and don't forget insects, grasshoppers, certain beetles, honey ants, and corn earworms! Thumbs up mate and thanx for sharin' your wisdom and knowledge,....if ppl. starve its only cause of lack of knowledge, we're definitely livin' in a Mother Earth Larder! = )
Great stuff. I plan to have a house with room for a garden eventually but it was just too expensive to start off that way. If I started with a house I'd be paying on an extra 200 thousand right now & I'd be in debt for 30 years. With the condo I bought though, I'll be done paying after 11 years. I should be finished by October or November. After that no rent, no mortgage, no nothing!
Sure I'd like a big garden but I'd have to grow a lot of produce to make up for that extra 200 thousand.
"Just a couple of acres"... Do you realize the cost of that here!? Would love to go off grid and run a permaculture garden, it's my ultimate dream, but it seems to be either too expensive or my plans are not up to par with the local beurocrats.
@Soldier957 / I don't know where you live, I'm in the procces of purchasing 11 achers in north east Akansas for 18 thousand, w/ home and 2car garage plus many more good things on the property. Keep lookin Soldier, you'll find what your lookin for.
well if we do all that who's gonna support the gov't with taxes?? lol...the tax man will put u on his hit list..better hide!! hahaha man i dont know if i could ever go without the grid tho, love electricity and air conditioning! =)
we are going for this way of life in a big way - we've spent years learning and gaining skills - so 10 out of 10 for your advice - excellent - especially the no money system - sooner babylon falls the better ;)
Good suggestions. We all need to be thinking outside the box because no part of the system works. It's very destructive and not designed to by or for the public or the environment. It's just a rip-off business in every way.
YESSS!! us living in the country in this way can promote this exchange by simply going to our neighnors and offering those things we don't need...such as excess fruits or vegetables. I was given a few marigolds by a man near my ranch...I will take him some
of my beets. With the marigolds I made a strong tea, and mixed it with your chili pepper, garlic and soap recipee for pest repelling....after having them on the table a few days...
Don't forget the 2 grow the ganja, the seed of the plant is a good source of alkaline and can be eaten, the seed contain no THC and can be use to make cooking oils. The stem of the plant can be use to make cloths or paper.
great advice. although, i just wish that there one big global movement. living conditions would be greatly improved. people wouldnt be so discouraged to try stepping out of their comfort zone of laziness. Lastly: 3:15 is awesome, i would love to get america off the money system, the fed and our debt would be abolished! Thanks for the video.
Great video. Self-sufficiency used to be the original way of life...and somewhere along the way it was left behind as nostalgia...I think the farther in the future we go the more it will be seen as necessary. Thanks for posting.
I must agree, good video! Common sense is a must in our society where it is sometimes lacking.... I think more people should go back to the self-sufficient ways, I believe a lot of the problems we have today are rooted in the mass marketing field, but not all is to blame, anyways, keep on with the organics!
Really good advice!

@Soldier957 You can sometimes rent a row from a local university's horticulture and agricultural dept, or you can start off with pot plants.
