zippers are ok but buttons are best I think because it usally has the extra fabric underneath to keep it from bothering the babys skin rubbing wise I think cause babys need really soft colths:)

Im not sure if snaps are better then zippers but i think if your in a hurry then zippers would be easy but if your in to uch of a hurry then you might catch the babys skin with the zipper
