im curious as to why it only works when staring at the dot... and not some place else even if it is the same place the whole time

@furball6488 In theory, it should work when staring anywhere. However, it's difficult to keep staring at the same point without some sort of obvious (and small) reference point to stare at, thus the dot. The dot is also centered, to put enough of the image in the field of vision. In theory, though, staring at any point in the image should work, if the gaze is kept at the same spot throughout the transition and afterward.
