i live right by bethpage so someone who dosnt live around there probably wouldnt know that there is 5 courses at bethpage the black being the nicest then red its difficult to get on black and is often closed so if you show up and get on black there are plenty of other courses to play
honestly - no idea. a buddy of mine and i waited in the parking lot overnight since we didn't have a tee time. it probably varies throughout the year (i.e. june & july are busy months). i would recommend trying to make a tee time before showing up as a walk-on.
thank you very much! i actually don't have a handicap, but i'd estimate i'm about a 12. i'm hoping to make a second trip out to bethpage in a few weeks! maybe this time i'll break 100.
after sleeping in the parking lot, i was very tired and excited. the view from the first tee is beautiful and very elevated. the only advice i can give is to try to take doubles out of play by hitting wedge into the fairway whenever your drive catches the rough. that rough is unlike anything i have ever seen before. good luck, and enjoy it! have fun!
im so excited im 13 and my grandpa my dad and i going golfing here in 2 weeks (red course) i average +2 how do u think i will do

you played it from the tips (back tees)? i couldn't get myself to play that far back, so i used the whites.
that first tee shot is so nerve racking with the people behind watching you.

nice swing, not to shabby. What are you a 3, 4 handicap?
