  • I don't suppose you happen to have the firmware or drivers you could upload for the cdx do you?

  • Hey i just buy a Numark CDX, and i want to know if si possible connect to a pc, like control Virtual DJ with the Numark CDX...Can someone help me please.?

  • Creative!

  • Sooo...

You are using the midi keyboard to control cue points or tracks from a cd that has single notes? Kinda confused on the CD part of this...

Or are you running straight keyboard sounds into the CDX and manipulating them?

A little clarification would be awesome...

  • @whoissunsetter I'm NOT using cue points. I use the midi keyboard to control the key correction function of the cdx. I have only a single sound on the cd with one note. I can pitch the sound higher or lower with the keyboard.

  • @SteelKut Whoa. That's what's up.

Badass! If the CDX could function alone as a midi controller for serato/traktor I think I would be in love.

  • hey! do you think this will work with the numark hdx too?

  • @bspbeats read the description. this works with the numark hdx, too.

  • @SteelKut thank you sir ... next time i´ll read first....

  • I've had the CDX's for years and never knew this! Thanks so much for sharing.

  • Great vid man cheers have been loving recording a synth note and playing it back from the cdx with the pich all across the kboard great stuff thanks again...OLS

  • iam trying 1 month now to do the same think .. but nothing .. :(

  • can i do the same but with the hdx?

  • @vincze99 read the description, its possible ;-)

  • @SteelKut sorry mate i've seen it ...thanks u and dj akd are a source of inspiration for me..i like all your video...do u know others dj like u ? same style that use groove box midi keyboard in this way?

  • @vincze99 is there away to use a m audio oxygen. There are no midi plug in at all only the usb, its like the square usb?

  • wow that is a cool feature. nice bro

  • hahaha so cool, I always wondered if the Midi port in the CDX was a Midi In or a Midi Out this clarifies it, so no way of controlling software if you don't use timecodes but to be honest having a midi input is amazing since you can do a lot of stuff and there are not many devices that have one, I think the Vestax turntables were the only I saw doing that before, amazing man, great skills!

  • Dopeness on new levels. Me and you have quite a bit in common.

    I use ableton

    I've just bought an apc40

Was going to buy the cdx but bought the dns3700 instead (hope this midi idea will work for mine too, it has midi function)

Apart from me and you... You have talent hahahaha

    Peace, bizzy

P.s have you ever considered the behringer fcb1010 for recording loops without hands?

  • @bizzyfingers thanks man, I use the behringer fcb1010 for some years now, its great. look at this video: watch?v=h0QK52yUlCI

  • innovative.. i like

  • hello how did you connect to the HDX twelve o'clock haw??? thank you my mail djcid@orange.fr

  • Cool Didnt know I could use my cdx like that ~~~ Thanks

what are you using to record into your pc ?

I bought a Behringer U control and running through Vitual dj and it comes out like crap

  • That is so bad ass!

  • yay tat's cool.. i'm looking forward to get the sinn7..looks neat

  • what other midi functions are there? is there a way to connect the CDX to the computer directly like serato is for normal turntables?

  • hi, you can't connect the cdx with your computer in a direct way.

I don't know but I think there are no other special midi functions.

go to numark(dot)com and have a look at the HDX manual. there is a list with all functions. you can control for example cue points, loops, play, stop, effects and so on.....

    greetings

  • sweet thanks for your reply.. i'll check it out!

  • FOOKIN SWEET!!!!!!

  • very nice!!!

  • Sick but shame you didn't get your APC40 involved

  • Excellent Demo SteelKut. I like to know if I can use my Akai MPD 24 instead of the keyboard here

  • Thanks

I think you can use any midi controller for doing this. the controller only must have a midi output. it must send the midi notes on channel 6! thats important.

  • Thanks SteelKut, it worked

  • if you mean firmware you can get them on numark(.)com

  • that sick was fukn SICK SON!!! now i gotta do this with my cdx also.... thanks for the vid!!! i fukn love it!!!

  • Impressive!

  • Yeah! good shit steel kut. I don't know if you remember but I'm the guy that asked you about the cdx and a midi keyboard hook up. Thanks for posting this up you helped a bunch. It's funny because I called Numark to ask for support about this and they didn't have a clue to how to hook up the midi keyboard to the cdx. Great video this should help so many people that have a cdx!

  • Fresh! I got a cdx too and this vid is so creative in all aspects

  • DOPEness
