  • his name was anthony... forget his last name. check out "a treasure" here on utube.there's alot more info from neil.

  • Is that Ben or Stills playing the Dobro? Can anyone confirm? Thanks

  • neil never recorded steel guitar or dobro with anyone but ben after harvest. plus just listen to it again. to me it sounds like ben to me. i could be wrong but i'm just putting history with the sound. i'll listen again with an open mind. i hope you do the same.

  • @ddsdd47 he used another guy briefly with the international harvesters,, can´t recall the guys name though.

  • read the credits from comes a time. then you can tell just by hearing that it is ben playing. thanks for the response.

    dave

  • @ddsdd47 I'd think on Comes a Time it is, but not here... different sessions, right? This was from when they were recording in Florida in 76, and when Crosby Nash left to finish mixing one of their albums they'd already been working on for awhile, Stills Young ditched the sessions and put out Long May You Run. Google CSN rarities... there's some information (of dubious origin) about it, stating the song was recorded in 76 in Florida.

  • That sweet guitar is the late great ben keith playing dobro.

  • @ddsdd47 I always thought it was Stills........ how do you know that?

  • Good music

  • the guitar at the beginning of this song melts my soul

  • thanks dude

  • A great song, and the title to a little-known movie directed by Neil. Dennis Hopper (Crackers the cook). Neil Young (as Lionel Switch). Dennis Hopper couldn't make the film's debut. Hopper said, "I wanted to make the debut, but, I was in the insane asylum at the time." That was when Hopper was becoming even more delusional from too much acid and booze, and he needed help to get it together. So long, Den-Den. Heaven keep you forever.

  • Isn't that from comes a time?

  • on what would have been the greatest CSNY album of them all ...perhaps one day when the world is a better place...
