I know the hater's didn't see this one coming. Soror's ya'll showed out with the bikes. You know a routine is HOT when people are still talking about it almost 2 years later. Service to All Mankind is first and foremost for an AKA but to the hater's who try and say AKA's can't step; yes we can and we look darn cute doing it!
It's so funny that you said "step", cuz I was at the show, and to be honest, you all didn't step. Let me not lie, you all probably stepped for about 2 minutes and danced about 10 mins. The other 3 minutes was used trying to kill everyone in the beginning of the show with all of that carbon monoxide poising from those bikes. I hear there will be another show next year, let's see if the judges REALLY know how to judge a STEP show...
As this singular part of *4* is 4:40, I'm not quite sure about your mathematics (2 minutes?). We put on a complete and cohesive show that entertained everyone...even the losers. As we were not able to step this year, I guess we'll never know if anyone COULD step up to us. Yes we danced, but we stepped our butts off. Sorry you lost.
this happens when a cheating judge scores a team so low that the winning team gets 2nd or 3rd place, the low score gives another step-team a better chance of winning, the cheating is based on personal dislike, not performance.
I am looking at all of the derrogatory comments and name calling. Back in my day this type of petty disrespect was very rare. Hmmmm.......maybe they should bring back hazing! you youngens need an ass whoppin. LOL
You know I just read up on that after reading the comment that you posted and..... you are right about that. Growing up in the church we were always told "No", but never why, I thought this stood for "Black Unity" or Maybe a Strong type of "Sister Hood". Now that I see I will learn and grow, that's why I am gonna leave this comment up so that others may learn as well. Maybe I should stop spending my extra time reading about the Corrupt Government.
I think it is sad that the black sisters in ALL of the sororities put each other down. It makes outsiders think that is all the organizations are about. These organizations are about sisterhood, community service, leadership and uplift of the black community and black culture as well as deep seeded tradition, but no one ever talks about that. Just calling each other names. I think it is petty to call the Delta's clowns..have some dignity and self respect my sister.
delta who???? they aint got nothing on those PRETTY GIRLS...we are the ONLY sorority that is not represented by something that appears in a circus oops...CLOWNS!!!!! AKA everyday all day. SKEE WEE MY SORORS!!!!!!
OMG the little girl was TOO CUTE! I am DST all the way but I"m sorry those girls worked it out. I am just glad to see some chocolate sistas on the step team. Back in my day (early/mid 80's) the AKA's would not accept any medium or dark skinned sistas!
History will never let that happen but ya'll keep trying boo; over the next 100 years. Dang, it must suck to have been founded on disloyalty; no wonder ya'll hate so hard and keep trying to rewrite history.
LOL no hate at all, but lol, how much studying did that girl mama let her miss to learn those steps and how ya'll gonna let wear the letters is see what you meant by it and its cute but technically she aint in, what if she dont even make the line or she drops? But it was a nice part good job.
Just for clarification, the little girl is on the step team at her school at which our stepmaster is a PE teacher. The step that she performed is one that was taught to her during extracurricular time. Education is key in our minds, so we'd never allow her to miss out on studying. Thank you for the concern.
I appreciate your response to the accusation that she was being taught the steps instead of getting her school lessons. In a society where childhood obesity and low self esteem in little black girls is at an all time high I think it is great that she was taught the skill and confidence that it takes to step. But I have to agree with Komplex she should not have been wearing the letters. But that is just how us old schoolers were taught.
I wasn't chastising, I was complimenting..and as I said, us old schoolers were taught differently,(it wouldn't have mattered if it said future) it is nothing against AKA. As I said before I think it was wonderful that she was implemented in the step show.
I took "She should not have been wearing the letters". as a chastisement. Since future ________ shirts are worn by everyone, even the daughters of old schoolers, we didn't see a problem or any disrespect to our sorority. I should have thanked you for the compliment first, and I apologize for any lack of graciousness.
Your statement was so petty! Did you think that she was taught that routine during her Spelling Period! If she is a future member of The Phirst Pham, she has to get her study on! Also, she is a child! What would she benefit from "pretending?" You damn Kappas!
Kalm down did you miss one of the first parts of my Komment where i said no hate, so i was obviously was joKing? I Kouldnt really Kare less where or when she was taught the step. Did you also miss the last part that was a Kompliment to them for having it in the show? so taKe a deep breath and relax oh yeah and watch the tone about Kappa Kause nothing disrespectful was said to ANY orginzation, and yours was not even mentioned by me so you're excused from the discussion.
