i played mgs collection and i beat him with cqc like a boss :PPP and i aint joking u hv to find an opening when he is not covered with lightning and than u like knock him to the ground and than u just roll on to him when hes on the floor and rince and repeat ull get the idea eventually i took 10 tries to figure out his pattern lol

This is strange. I remember only using stun grenades on Volgin when I played this game on PS2. Now I'm playing the new MGS HD Collections and throwing stun grenades does not work. WTF? I have to use CQC and MK22

I was always beat Volgin with TNT lol. I didn't use TNT in the game only when it was to fight Volgin. I think that the TNT is the easiest way to beat him. And the fastest way, for me. I didn't notice the time I did to beat him. But it was fast enough. Sometimes the plan didn't go well and the time to beat him was not fast because sometimes he left the point that I had put the TNT or when I try to put the TNT he comes and hit me. LOL

Volgin is so easy if you use the M63. Just go up close to him then shoot and don't stop. And eventually he will lose his electric shield and then you can keep shooting him until he dies. The M63 takes for ever to reload so when you are close to losing ammo quickly tap R2 twice and if you do it quick enough he wouldn't have enough time to reload. The good thing about the M63 is, it has a lot of ammo.

I found another way to kill him, you just need the M37 (12 gauge shotgun found in the cave where you fight the pain) and just get behind him all the time and you'll beat him in about 30 seconds.

The first time I tried to duel against Volgin I got so owned! But I just found out a way to beat this guy in less than 20 secs and get a score of about 127500 if I'm not mistaken. BTW how fast does it take to beat him with the Patriot?

i got my patriot and shot him in the gead with 1 bullet, it instantly killed him, after the cutscene where volgin begs ocelot to shoot u i just did it again lol, all i did was wear the ivanface and shot him it aint that hard lol
