Catching Thundurus ( Voltolos ) was simple or any " Traveling Pokemon" in other generations, Mean Look or Wobuffet to pervent escape, whittle HP down, finish with Paralisis or Sleep, Finally, Toss all kinds of different pokeballs. Quick Ball works best if you let it escape, asleep or parylized and Red Health, Since it is new encounter.

@hectormagi3 The catch rate is a little different for legendaries. A high level Tornadus at 1 HP while asleep only has a 4.3% catch rate.

@hamsterdoom360 Thats the normal ratius, not counting which pokeball its being used... Although, I have exagerated with that of a 94%, its probably more of a 57% because its a legendary. In the other hand, that being said, 94 its corresponding any normal pokemon, or common pokemons. I just didnt applied it to the legendary rank. Apologies.

this theme sounds like a sword fight between 2 pros. 0:08 the opponents are shown 0:12 they strike a pose 13-19 is one person's movements 19-24 is the other's [repeat] 35-46 is them clashing swords repeatedly 47-1:02 one is struck down 1:03-1:14 he comes back and briefly overpowers the other before leveling out again 1:15-1:26 is them quickly jabbing around 1:27-1:31 the other guy takes a hit and is dazed for a second 1:32-1:36 they call a truce, shake hands, and walk off to the next opponent.

The best tactic for "Traveler Pokemon" is to Bring their HP down to red. Have it with an ailment. Best are Paralasis, Freeze, or Sleep. Then chuck quick ball each encounter. But if you want it to stay in battle use a Wobuffett . It has Shadow Tag abillity that pervents running aways or switch out.

@9021020 - first successful capture for me was a Heal Ball, one shot. After wearing down Victini with my Level 16 Panpour (!) and Level 20 Sawk, that was my strategy. I would go use Servine's Leech Seed but Victini would fall in battle if I did use it.

@ninjaone1 - I was gutsy, and guess what I did? FUCKING POKE BALL! (And before that, twice in a Heal Ball! This is explained by the fact I was trying to get a good or neutral nature for Victini.) My strategy that I had with my team at the time - Panpour goes ahead and licks the shit out of Victini to get paralysis (and only Level 16 at the time) then Water Gun it down to low health, switch into Servine or Sawk if Panpour faints. And with about 30 different Poke Balls (18 being regular) I did it!

Level 20 Sawk. Moves used: Low Sweep, Double Kick (also to wear down Victini)

That's how I went about it. Sawk is brought out as soon as Panpour falls from degrading Victini's health with Water Gun. When I'm satisfied with the health left, I went ahead and did various things with my Poke Balls - but of all things, I caught it in a Poke Ball. FUCK YES
