Personally, I think alot of people underestimate the electric kits. That's what i was bought for Christmas in '06. I still use it today. I believe it's a Roland Td-3. I've added a China, A freestand Hi-Hat, and a new Bass pedal. it's great. Sure, a nice 3,000$ real-kit would be alot better, i own a real kit also, but I feel more comfortable on the electric. Anyway, bottom line, both have their Advantages, and Disadvantages. Go with what you're comfortable with. Great Cover !

I do have the seperate cymbal stand, and it feels very much like the real thing. What kind of settings do you use on the td-12-computer?

@Mikannika I bought this kit 8 or 9 years ago, it was a TD10 with the TDW expansion card. I like the standalone hi-hat stand a lot but I'm saving for a new guitar at the moment. Settings wise, I just played around through all the samples and set up 3 or so custom kits with sounds I liked, and that was about it! If you need to know what's what I'll check for you!
