I've been trying a few things here and there. I tried using the bow after TM3 to shoot down the pieces of flesh at Atlas' insides (the ones that open the air vent leading up to the turning platform). That would skip the nymph hives/ceiling climbing etc but no luck.
And a lot of messing around at AQ in the hope of keeping regen. That first use of non-regen magic after AQ is truly heartbreaking. Also some screwing around in the palace of fates (before last spartan).

I also tried to shoot, CR or whatever I could think of to knock down those flesh things in Atlas to no avail. That would be an excellent skip. I tried getting around the AQ battle too but I'm doubtful that its possible.
I'm sure we can find more though, its just a matter of time. Are you planning a new speedrun using the tricks we've learned?

Yeah I was mid-speedrun (at Typhon) when GMG told me of the high jump and regen magic so I'm pretty much at the last point where I can either go exploit-free or start abusing. Part of me wants to go through and re-do a run without the jumps/regen but they are just too good to pass up on. I'm not sure just yet but know that the run will be continued.

Have you considered speedrunning GoW1? I would like to but I don't have the patience to put a really good run together. I did a run one evening up to the final battle and my time was 2:06 so I know someone can do a God Mode run in less than 2 hrs. Its just a matter of doing it.

I have considered it yeah, but I don't know if I will. I still enjoy it as a cinematic game and if I break it down as far as I have with GoW2, I may not enjoy it as much as I used to.
