Man! This brings back so many memories! I grew up minutes from that mall. I remember going there to see The Little Mermaid with my dad when it first came out.
@PeerlessPaavo Its actually quite beautiful. The Fame CIty went through several other formats (Jungle Jim's Playland, Kids Kingdom, Xhilarama) before closing and turning into a Cinemark. The place has been fully renovated and has now has a Target as one of the anchors.
@bluebrotherx7 There's even more... That whole area's blown up now. The new entrance, facing Gessner is going to be a huge Cheescake Factory, and will be connected by skybridge to the Westin Hotel and the Medical Center that's just grown across the road. This doesn't even count what happened to Town and Country, which is just as interesting.

Ok, you'll have to fill me in, because I've been away from Houston and haven't been to Memorial City Mall in decades. What's become of the place?
