1. Lebron is surround by 4 catch & shoot players. Whoever he passes to shoots the ball IMMEDIATELY without moving the ball to a WIDE OPEN player. This is how he averages 7 assists per game.
Kobe & the lakers pass the ball 3 or 4 times before a shot is taken so the assists are spread out evenly between ALL the players.
Kobe guards the other teams BEST player. I'll use D Wade as an example. D Wade has the ball 99% of the time & if kobe is defending D Wade, he will not have a chance to get the rebound because he is not near the rim or is in the air contesting Wade's shot.
Lebron has terrible defense so he does not guard the best player. All he does is hang around the rim waiting for the rebound which his teammates LET him have.

I, being a pistons fan, don't contest the fact LeBron is a good player. However, I don't think he's the best to play the game by any standard. I think he'd preform alot better if he was on a better team, one with some decent non-floping idiots.
The only thing Lebron misses from being amazing(on his own), in my opinion, is a lack on consitent play style. Often times, when things look grim, Lebron seems to lose steam, though he does do a good job recovering it sometimes.

if lj played 20 years ago he would not even average 22 a game. the reason being is because handchecking made ever scorer have a jumpshot to be effective. lj relys on penetrating to the basket and getting the easy lay up. back then defenses didnt allow that to happen because there were 2 bigs in the lane waiting, and also because there was always someone with his hand on ur hip stopping ur penetration. he has no jumper, so wouldnt be effective. u see whats happening when the celts make him shoot.

I think it's funny that people dis on LeBron James for not being as good of a shooter as Kobe. His shot continues to improve every year. This year their three point % is almost the same. Kobe is better at the mid range game, but he's not as explosive as LBJ.
Also, his ability to get to the rim and draw fouls is a great ability to have. Every player has bad shooting nights, even Kobe, so being able get to the rim and make layups and dunks allows you to get points even when your shot is off.

You have no knowledge about basketball if all you do is look at stats... let me explain HOW lebron gets those stats. First I'll explain how he gets more assists than kobe.
1. Lebron is surround by 4 catch & shoot players. Whoever he passes to shoots the ball IMMEDIATELY without moving the ball to a WIDE OPEN player. This is how he averages 7 assists per game.
Kobe & the lakers pass the ball 3 or 4 times before a shot is taken so the assists are spread out evenly between ALL the players.

Lebron has terrible defense so he does not guard the best player. All he does is hang around the rim waiting for the rebound which his teammates LET him have.

His cast is not as bad as you believe. One journalist on ESPN that actually had the guts to tell the truth about the Cavs talked about this before the season. The Cavs are an exceptional defensive and rebounding team WITHOUT Lebron. Z, Varejao, Marshall, Newble, and the others are not exceptional offensively but can keep the game close. Hughes had the talent but was injured more of his career with the Cavs.

I, being a pistons fan, don't contest the fact LeBron is a good player. However, I don't think he's the best to play the game by any standard. I think he'd preform alot better if he was on a better team, one with some decent non-floping idiots.
The only thing Lebron misses from being amazing(on his own), in my opinion, is a lack on consitent play style. Often times, when things look grim, Lebron seems to lose steam, though he does do a good job recovering it sometimes.

if lj played 20 years ago he would not even average 22 a game. the reason being is because handchecking made ever scorer have a jumpshot to be effective. lj relys on penetrating to the basket and getting the easy lay up. back then defenses didnt allow that to happen because there were 2 bigs in the lane waiting, and also because there was always someone with his hand on ur hip stopping ur penetration. he has no jumper, so wouldnt be effective. u see whats happening when the celts make him shoot.
