@DaleSparrow umm... no. g82 is another designation of the m82/m107. the barret m82 came before the NTW-20. the barret proved the feasibility of a man-portable .50BMG rifle. the NTW-20 doesn't even shoot the same cartridge (it shoots the 20x110 mm Hispano-Suiza round)

So schauts aus. Selbst auf naher Distanz sollte man damit nicht auf Infanterie schießen, es sei den sie sind hinter Deckung. Gegen Infanterie gibts das G22.

Da ich beim Bund Scharfschütze war, noch mit dem G3 und ZF, das war 1986, würde ich, wenns darauf ankommt, das G 82 auch gegen Personen einsetzen, denn besser der tot wie ich ;-). Hab bei meiner letzen Reserveübung mal mit dem G22 geschossen, ist schon ein schönes Teil, aber nur bis max. 1200 m.

It is the same rifle, we call it G82, Barret delivers to Heckler und Koch, Heckler und Koch checks the rifle and does last adjustments.
Then they will be deilvered to the Bundeswehr.

Das G3 ist und bleibt im Einsatz weiterhin im Gebrauch. Allerdings haben es weiterhin nur die Scharfschützen dabei, neben G36, Mp7, G22 und G82.
