  • Why is nobody moving subject as they multiply, if there was a hundred of their men had to occur Associations incest. Can someone answer me this question. I think that for the Scots is something quite normal to have a child with his sister or brother.

    Absolutely not! In the Celtic Clan system, we ALWAYS married outside our own Clan: so a MacDonald boy would marry a girl from MacLeod, MacKenzie or MacIntosh Clans and vice versa. Our surnames tell you who each child is descended from, so you don't marry within your own Clan! It's just not good "husbandry"!

    The "Mac" prefix is Gaelic for son, & "Nic" for daughter, akin to Norse "Petterson" & "Pettersdottir" in Iceland.

    Marriage was even used as a way of tying rival Clans together.
