Big Pete is obviously more top heavy, big i agree it should have all its axles and the wheel base should be widened more but even with that said, a more heavier body means it might not jump as high in the air tho...
Thats why most Monster Trucks are always being made with Pick Up Truck Bodies and sometimes Mini Vans bodies...
I yet to see a Full Size Coach Bus on Monster Truck Wheels with 4 Duellies!!!
sorry, i dont like big pete......it needs to look like a actual monster semi, like two real axles instead of one. the back end is short and stubby, makes the cab look way to big
It was made short to relieve stress. I understand the look habit, looks funky too, but with 2 rear axles, and tires that big, the amount of stress on the driveshaft and crankshaft alone would be enough to snap it, or shear it, which could lead to catastrophic failure. Not good. Ethier way, it still looks pretty cool.
I would sure hope he had a hell of a lot more than 4" or travel...I can run downtown now to the local truck accessory sorry and pickup a 6" suspension lift, not to mention that you can get upto 14" kits from a few companies.
well he did at my show cus he was only crushing cars and tug o' war cus it wasnt a monstertruck show it was a motorcross and quad stunt show he just dus around a 15-30 min show
The SuperPete I saw was purple and he was in Canada. There was no mention of where he was from by the announcer. So other than "Here comes SU-PER PETE!", that's all I know about him...and I didn't say anything about people from England not knowing anything..... = \
Health and safety should take an backwards step in most things we do. Responsibility should go back to the person involved. Many of the great things that man has acheived would not have happened if the current H&S laws had been in place. Speed does not kill , it's lack of skill . These guys knew what they were doing.
Saftey first, those guys should'nt be any where near that truck when it's running. One false move and he's gonna become a red smear on the land scape.
It would be really cool if that Pete, was a tandem axle.

The R/C 1:10 plastic model of this truck was released in 1990 by TAMIYA in Japan. It was called "BullHead".
