  • thomas jackson should be ashamed of himself.

  • "The point of every college pursuit is to pick up girls"

He obviously hasn't been to college

  • Fundamentalists are always willing to trash what is sacred to others in order to get their message across. Unamuno was an atheist. This guy is just an asshole. (Ooops! My innocent Catholic mouth!)

By the way, he doesn't actually back-up his claim about morality and empathy. He just keeps takes it for granted that he's right, and anyone who disagrees must face the wrath of his righteous indignation.

Scratch an atheist, find a fundamentalist.

  • There is no difference if a so called "bible scholar" reads it, or anyone else does. Have *you* read your own bible? There are numerous contradictions. You can just try typing into Google Bible contradictions for one. Also, picking and choosing morality from the bible is not morality. The bible also says that those who work on the sabbath should be killed, and those who plant different crops side by side should be stoned. You are the closed minded one here, and should read your own bible.

  • @86Leovinus You do realize that those laws about the Sabbath and crops were solely given to the Israelites to separate themselves from the other nations. That were not universal laws require of everyone. God had stricked rules to perserve His choosen people.

  • What Contradiction does the bible have? Obviously you haven't read the bible with an open mind. What does some college kid with a ego know who claims to read the bible compared to a bible scholar who has read the bible in the original text. After hearing about this I regret that I'm going to this school in the fall. My last college had more respect for each other regardless of what are beliefs were.

  • @vschm140 rather than wasting my time proving you wrong, google the sceptict's annotated bible and click contradictions. are those 461 ones enough for you?

    lots of love!

  • @deathfish3000 I checked your website. I looked at his creditably. He is a sport columinist. The message throughout the bible is we are bound to the law becuase of sin. However, when Jesus came down we saved from the sin of the world. Nothing in the bible is pretty. It's not suppose to be. It's suppose to give the real account of how much we need him[Jesus] in our lives. Look at David. David was a murder. The father of Israel, his son slept with one of his wives.

  • k i respect this dude for using his rights of 'freedom of speach' but i really disagree for what he is doing... even though the bible says woman are less than men, and blah blah blah, does he seriously think that people follow that in this society? i mean really it was written thousands of years ago and that's not even important to what the bible is saying. but props to him for not being influenced by the interviewer and for even letting them have a chance to talk to him :P

  • nice tie, assh0le

  • Ha I attend UTSA, and have meet and partied with this kid. Thomas is cool guy, good times at Hemingways, and Hills and Dales.. Dont necessarily agree with everything he has to say but nevertheless likes to pick up women, drink, party real polite, and intelligent.

  • I go to UTSA and this has been the worst thing to ever happen on our campus screw you atheist agenda. you'll be judged at the gates of heaven one day.

  • This porn idea is absolutely celestially divine!

  • This Atheist is a DORK! What's gonna screw up a family, a bunch of porn dvds or a bible!

  • @bevman77 um... the bible. Was that a trick question because that was too easy, man.

  • Comment removed

  • Jewish Agenda more like it ! The guy in the interview is not the driving force behind this evil. Fucking Jews

  • @usurynation Wow this is a year old. You missed the point; the people of one culture ("Life View") may see some things as perfectly acceptable that others from a different culture believe to be bad, two sets of morals, oh no! now what? The necrophiliac is an extreme example, it usually comes down to stupid shit like; what foods you eat, how your women dress, what gods you worship, you know stuff like that. I'm talking about cultural mores and beliefs not psychopathic disorders.

  • you dont look like a athiest lol!

  • porn for bibles? feeds into atheists stereotypes.

  • when in knowledge of your loss always go with the "how many chicks have you picked up" line, that outa get you back in.

  • AH Babylon your fall is emminent you have abandon God you have corrupt your children .Message to the remnants GET OUT OF AMERICA !!!Persecution is comming and the destruction of her is comming very soon ,all the signs are there

  • the college kid has his mind in the gutter, i mean ofcourse there is a God. where are we gonna go when we die? are our minds just gonna float in space? or is there a heaven and hell?

  • Ravaged.

  • realllllly realllly the bible was right about you

((The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God," They are corrupt))psalm 53:1

women selling thier bodies in change of your faith was the contract signed with blood you are satan followers even if you don't believe in his existance

  • The bible is full of pornographic references.. so basically they are just swapping trash for trash. The bible just makes you use your imagination more than a Hustler :P

  • shes hot, but you-tubes not good 4 videos of hot girls, go have a look at rudey Tube , super sexy videos!

  • interesting...he talks about how bad it is to belittle women and here hes handing out porn. also, there are countless things that would beneficial to society but are however illegal and immoral.

  • this idiot thinks that he's opening the door to free thought when in reality his retarded organization is just helping to belittle women 10 TIMES WORSE THAN ANY BIBLE OR KORAN EVER CAN. what a fool.

  • @sobored303 many religious texts talk about how a wife is OWNED by the husband, this is more belittling to women than those in the porn industry who choose to be there.

  • See best P0rn videos in Hd at BESTBABESINHD^INFO for totally free

  • this kid doesn't know what he's talking about... the news reporter is obviously clear on his beliefs and clearly gives his opinion without technically outfront saying it.

  • Any idea what their website is?

  • Christianity has been popular since the 1700's and ultra conservatism was born in the early 1900's

  • What kind of news anchor is he? He's obviously biased against the atheist movement. Horrible conduct.

  • Bibles were a major part in creating the

structure of our society. Without the bible,

those people wouldn't be able to sit in their comfy homes looking at their high quality porn. They would be living in caves,

    struggling to survive.

  • THE69HERETIC - Your point is clear, but I believe the atheist agenda has clumped the entire scope of religion in one bundle...yes...the Muslim religion belittles women horribly, but Atheists have grouped that all in with the Bible I believe...which is wrong to stereotype and overgeneralize

  • He looks like that damn elf that wants to be a dentist... Being an athiest seems to be 'cool' right now because they can't rebel from mommy and daddy so they have to do this crap.

  • atheist kid thinks because he took an english course and learned

some adjectives that he is a fucking einstein, and that means his opinion is worthy enough to blaspheme everyone's belief in god? if he's so into freedom , why can't he let people have their religion. How is his path any better than the one he opposes?

  • Ironically the porn you get, pictures of a

    priest fucking a little boy.

  • what? that's soooooooooooo sad!

  • This has got to be the single most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. Those atheists who claim to have read the bible have only looked at the words literally. They cannot tell the difference between what is literal and what is a metaphor. If they fully analyze the text as well as the surrounding circumstances of the times it was written, then they might be able to make a more fair judgment.

  • @TeenParodyInc You wrote "atheists" but reading the rest of your comment I can only guess you meant "christians".

  • OWNED!!!

  • These atheists are just doing what some religious people are doing.

    and it's reeaaally funny!

  • Tucker Carlson got smoked. Like always

  • both really are dumbasses

  • this host is such an ass hat. in the first sentence of the interview i was already pissed at him. he looked like an idiot trying to sound smart with this college kid

  • "you don't look like an atheist"

Wtf. The standard of news anchorage in the states never stops surprising me.

  • "...dont find this dont survive."

    "oh...."

  • HA! Dork in a bow-tie gets schooled by a college student :D

  • But everything he said was absolute bullshit.

  • That atheist student was awesome. He didn't take flack from this biased interviewer, but the college kid also stayed polite, smiling, etc.

Based on who made their points more articulately, the atheist college student wins this debate.

  • Seriously? he came across as a half-thought dumbass

  • I thought Tucker Carlson got rid of his bow tie.

  • "this is wright and this is wrong, because the big guy says so" :DDDD

  • i agree 100%, except i have agnostic beliefs because we don't have empirical data to suggest the non-existance of a higher power

  • It's impossible to disprove something that has magic, omnipotence, and infallibility on it's side.

  • Well, that's exactly why it is useless for people to bang their heads against a brick wall instead of just letting people believe what they want.

  • eh, can you really say that humanity has empirical evidence to prove no higher power exists? We don't, and since you are subscribing to this belief without the influence of proof, and thus on a basis of faith, you are doing the same thing every religious person is doing.

  • Wow, I'm impressed by how well that kid handled himself.

  • @photolitherland -i dont have a "religion"..im just smart enough to know that God is OUR creator is real. He died for us yet you Athiests are so ungrateful & hurtful towards him. I pray for your soul so that you wont end up in Hell. Athiests are doing/saying exactly what Satan wants. It's so sad to think of all of the souls who will end up in eternal flames

  • @Avalita07 god died for us?? what the hell?? go get some porn and stfu.

  • what did we gain from him dieing, exactly?

  • the interviewer is a cunt.

  • Thomas Jackson sounds very educated and well mannered. I think he handled himself very well in this interview.

The interviewer is a loser, though. "You don't look like an atheist". What does that mean?

I think Jackson is very mature and discussed the issue in a professional and inoffensive manner. There's nothing wrong with what he's doing. Good for him!

  • Athiests are obviously Satans children. they must look forward to a life in Hell

  • @Avalita07 The radical Islamic fundamentalists who promote terror, violence and denounce western values are Satans children. They will experience a life in Hell, although not soon enough.

  • Keep your sadistic BDSM fantasies to yourself thanks.

  • @Xadreos -it's not a "fantasy"..it's real. you dont understand now but one day you definitely will. I just pray for your soul that it wont be too late buddy....

  • What bugs me is that we throw schizophrenics in psyche wards for seeing invisible men and believing in things that aren't real, yet we don't throw people like you in there even though you would be more deserving of the floor.

You may pray for my soul while I will wish for your sanity.

  • @Avalita07, your threats of hell are 100% meaningless, because there is no evidence for your claim.

The fact that you think you can intimidate atheists with your make believe "hell", just shows your extreme inability to think.

  • oh? it's real? care to cite some proof? it is fantasy as long as there is no means by which to prove it's existance. Men flying was a fantasy before the invention of the aircraft.

  • What was it that Lincoln said about it being not what you say but the way you say it. This kid is intolerant and hateful. This is a free country and he has the right to be a complete Ass and he's taking advantage of that fact. This is about his liberal Hatred of religeon and what he sees as a rightwing religeous agenda. A wise person finds a way to make theor point without being Hateful...A fool doesn't.

  • what's that thing with the bow tie?

looks like a mix between pee wee herman, problem child and sloth from the goonies.

  • I think Tucker Carelson was somewhat physically attracted tot he young atheist.

  • Thomas Jackson's kinda bad ass. :)

  • Type in "Gott mit uns" (God with us) at Google picture search and you will wonder what an interesting uniform belt buckle you will find.

God is on everybodies side who believes.

  • This is an absolute outrage and is a mockery of God's Word. The Bible warns that God will not be mocked(Galatians 6:7) and mocking God's word, which He has magnified above all His name(psalm 138:2), shows a real lack of the fear of God.

That atheist had better repent and stop provoking God to anger by his blatant mockery of the Bible.

I'll tell you this, it's only God's mercy and patience, which this guy is abusing, that prevents this guy from being struck by lightning right now.

  • that, or intervention by god has never been empirically documented which could lead some to believe that

    A- He does not exists

    B- He cannot intervene

C- He does not know what is happening on earth

or D- He does not really care

  • The common point for all of these effects is that they do not violate any known conservation laws of physics (e.g., the conservation of energy, momentum, and charge). Something can indeed come out of nothing as long as these conservation laws permit this. But people often argue that the Big Bang theory violates the conservation of energy (which is essentially the first law of thermodynamics).

  • There are several valid counterarguments against this: first, as already pointed out, the BBT is not about the origin of the universe, but rather its development with time. Hence, any statement that the appearance of the universe "out of nothing" is impossible has nothing to do with what the BBT actually addresses. Likewise, while the laws of thermodynamics apply to the universe today, it is not clear that they necessarily apply to the origin of the universe; we simply do not know.

  • Finally, it is not clear that one can sensibly talk about time "before the Big Bang". "Time" is an integral part of our universe (hence the GR term "spacetime") - so it is not clear how exactly one would characterize the energy before and after the Big Bang in a precise enough way to conclude it was not conserved. (B. Feuerbacher, R. Scranton. 2006)

  • @heribertoc9 they should allow trade ins of Kurans and Bibles for thermodyamics handbooks

  • Once again, do some research and you will find the counter arguments that basically say the conservation of energy does not apply to the big band because the big bang is a process that the universe alledgedly went through; there was NOT the creation of something from nothing, or that the laws of thermodynamics could have just not applied to the origins of the universe.

  • @haruga The thermodynamics I was referring to was the laws that govern the weather and other natural phenomenon on earth, not the BBT. Many engineering and science students at university or college have a book on thermodynamics. Most Quran and Bible thumpers think hurricanes, earthquakes, etc are caused by god's wrath in response to human "sins", when actually they are simply natural effects.

  • Ah, alright then. I saw first law of thermodynamic in the OPs reply

  • knowledge is power my friend, in the bible as well as science, science brings people closer to God :)

  • then why do christians condemn science so much?

  • cause some christians dont think...very few who do sadly to say, but I love science and God. Not many people are positive like that lol

  • One more thing; shame on athiests and any other belief system for rudely advertising and forcing their idealology on people of other belief systems. It is not productive nor does it yield any merit to fight over something that can be seen as semantic; and fighting it is. It is alright to express without disrespect, and this crosses that line. Why not just have a pissing contest?

  • This is pretty immature, and in my opinion, as a human, a non-practicing catholic and an agnostic, lacks the subtlety and refinery that being a rational athiest entails. Good job making us all look like smart-asses... no one knows the truth yet; we all just believe in our perspective.

  • Out of curiosity, how does one remain Catholic, practicing or not, while being agnostic? I agree that this probably wasn't a good way to go about expressing their opinion that religion is harmful, but then they're kids and they want to draw attention to themselves to prompt people to think about what they're saying. Of course this won't have much effect on those that are devout believers, but I don't think they are the target. Certainly no worse than some of the stunts that christians pull.

  • Once you enter a religion, you are kind of in it for the long-haul... well, at least that's the impression i got. Also, you are right in saying that the religious pull stupid and immature stunts as well, but they're stupid and immature nonetheless.

  • I've never heard of that myself. I know you can be excommunicated from the church involuntarily, so it makes sense that you can voluntarily leave as well. The fact that you don't share the same belief structure as the church would seem to be sufficient in itself for saying that you're no longer a Catholic. As for the stunts, I agree that they're immature. I prefer a more rational debate that isn't so clouded by emotion, but then that wouldn't make the news or draw attention either ;)

  • Also, you cannot hold accountable a book that was written at a time when today's societal values did not exist by today's societal values. It is akin to condemning ancient cultures for not being fully clothed, which is not acceptable in today's value system, or perhaps condemning someone for something that is acceptable in today's value system but was not at an earlier time.

  • You can condemn the belief that it is the absolutely true Word of God, as fundamentalists believe. If that's the case, then the morality is absolute and how society changes shouldn't matter. That's the danger of religion. You can interpret it however you want, and someone will always be there to exploit the blind faith of the followers of such a religion. Getting rid of all the mythological and dogmatic baggage that surrounds the good things in the Bible would be a great improvement.

  • @adentstuff

The best argument against "absolute" morality is pointing out that the 10 commandments should of been in the Garden of Eden and not after the fact (original sin)

  • I feel people should still let people follow whatever religion they want and to whatever degree as long as it doesn't affect them, but that's just my opinion. It's just a stupid thing to debate over considering the fact that there are more pressing controversies.

  • Religious beliefs affect a lot of people today. A lot of people vote based on their belief that the Bible is to be taken literally. They work (and succeed) at getting these mistaken beliefs included in our textbooks. They've opposed all kinds of civil rights for people over the years based on religious arguments. They've even used religion to justify all manner of violence and murder. So don't let yourself be deluded into thinking that it's no big deal and religion doesn't really affect us.

  • pornography is the depiction of sexual acts for the purpose of causing arousal in the audience... there is no pornography in the bible. What is in the bible is eroticism at best.

  • This is great! trading one form of fiction for another, porn is essentially fictional relationships/love making and the bible, well, a fictional story from beginning to end.

  • May the perverted atheists repent.

  • atheist really found one of the best spokesman this time

  • Hehe, this is great! Porn is so much better than those moronic "bibles" and "holy books"! : )

  • but where is the respect, why should people be so offensive towards others and mock their beliefs which since they are from ancient thought are of course out of context by comparing them to sex that is sold for money today. Where is the boundary, even as an atheist, you believe in something irrational you don't share with the world.

  • I don't believe anything irrational/supernatural exists, no. Only irrational people with irrational fantasies, hehe. : )

  • im glad there doing this..

  • wow! Fox is REALLY behind the curve here. This video was uploaded March of LAST YEAR?? I just saw a fox news clip that was aired earlier today about this shit at U of texas.

  • im not going to lie, i'm against the whole movement but the boy knew his stuff and what he was talking about.

  • There is no way I would give up the King James version of Song of Solomon nor would I part with the Kama-Sutra for any of the watered down contemporary porn.

  • Dude nailed that shit.

  • @GodKillerAtheist I love openly mocking people's beliefs and loudly declaring my own as well. Who needs subtlety or refinement anyways?

  • yeah, isn't it great to live in the end of history, when our lives are so comfortable and meaningless, that all we can do is spend our creative energy finding new ways to offend other peoples deeply held beliefs (especially when does people are no harming us and our lives). Really cool huh? In a world less comfortable and more life or death then ours, individuals such as they young guy would probably end up being the most disloyal, unethical, and unprincipled amongst the lot

  • @haruga Thomas Jackson was not "loudly declaring" his own beliefs or mocking others. He was professional and well mannered. Please re watch video.

  • eh, kind of childish... silly kids think they're going to make a difference, and even if they don't, theyre just openly shitting on other people's beliefss, and that is even more childish

  • wtf "you don't look like atheist"???? Since when do atheist look a certain way? This guy is stupid as hell

  • hooray for texas! practice that 1st amendment

  • what is going on with the world today?! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion so I'm not going to knock the kid for that, but porn are you serious?! You are comparing the bible & other religious material to porn?! He lost his damn mind?! The anchorman slaugther the kid in the debate.

  • Carlson comes off as condescending jerk.

  • Agreed.

4:27 "You need think through a little bit more, Thomas."

The student came up with legitimate, clear arguments and Carlson couldn't even recognize it.

  • I agree as well, although it doesn't mean the arguments had any merit in my opinion. Carlson is just an idiot.

  • REASON does exist in Texas... though it is more than likely confined to a few college campuses.

Smut for Smut.. great idea! ahahaaha

  • gay

  • i wonder how many people decided not to go to UTSA specifically because of these people. bunch of pretentious lame college attention whores trying to say "ya man we were there and we did something". your message is lost in a cheap lame attempt for attention, and its embarrassing.

  • @numbtard Funny pretentious was the word that came to my mind wen I read your post. Cheap? Lame? Its just like a religious person to piss and moan about their rights yet feel that no one else who does not agree with their Ideals should have the right to talk. To not rock the boat, to do nothing but sit back and let the world pass you by is a far larger crime than the uncomfortable feeling you got from it. if people thunk like you their been no tea party and their be no America.

  • i never said i was religious my point is they are only stupid college kids who think they are making a point and they are only embarrassing themselves. "cheap" might not have been the right word but "lame" was dead on.

  • hm. i think the bow tie is ridiculous, tucker is demeaning, and the kid didn't argue well enough.

"have you picked up any girls doing this, honestly?"

poor kid thought he had a chance.

hm. we need some of that in UT to combat the bible thumping intelligent designers. :P THAT would be entertainment.

  • omg he's trading something you can get for free for something you can get for free

  • How sad...

  • If you don't believe in God it sure is funny why the athiest are always trying to prove your point. Why are you fighting against a God you say you don't believe in? If he really doesn't exist then why do you keep trying to prove that?

He does exist and I know he does. I was once an alcoholic and now I am free because of a living Saviour. I thank God everyday for his peace and relief I have experinced.

  • @hamsterdon97, did booze affect your comprehension skills? He wasn't fighting against a god.

  • @hamsterdon97 Peoples rights are being thrown out the window even in America do to this religious barbarism. Religions are forcing there Ideals down everyone throat. From getting married, to running for office. As long as religion is forcing their ideals on everyone than it is only logical to challenge it, and defend ones right as a living breathing logical Human-being against such dark age nonsense that would force logical sound minds to abandon rationality for bronze age superstitions.

  • i kinda don't understand why people think the kid is so intelligent, or how he made the host look stupid. the kid essentially contradicts himself. morality is not based on empathy or law.

in fact, the law is based on the bible. religion predates organized society, and even written word. just shows how uneducated about religion most athiests actually are.

  • @AFlo2490 That is wrong.. and the fact is their have been laws against murder and crime long before the bible or the concept of a single god.

Hell even animals have a moral code they fallow as fellow social creatures.. That facts, that we can prove.. wile your nonsense is nothing but unintelligent ranting from another religious nut job with no backing to his side.

  • obviously you didn't read my post. we live in a society based on protestant religion.

and I wasn't just talking about the concept of a single god. I was talking about religion in general. Even the early societies worshiped the sun, or animals, or some idea of a greater being.

I'm glad you have enough time in your day to read all the comments and respond to the ones you don't believe in.

  • Wow..

    May God forgive him :)

    GOD BLESS atheists!

  • How sad. Why do people hate God? I'll tell you why. They don't want what they feel is an unattainable, cosmic, prudish, fun-killer, keeping them from having great orgasms. DUH!! God created sex. It is good. He wants married men and women to have alot of it and enjoy it. Now what is your excuse.

  • "the Bible contradicts itself on nearly every page," and then he goes on to say that athiest know their scriptures pretty well, how well do you really know them?

  • "You don't look like an atheist."

You do look like an asshole, Tucker.

  • i thought that was hilarious

  • Hey! We started doing this at UT Austin years ago... quit biting our shit San Antonio. ; )

  • kinda smug douches...

funny, but atheism isn't a fucking cult.

  • I know, right? Who would pass up free porn?

  • Ever worn blended material or had a rare/medium rare steak?

Because those two things are actually listed as abominations.

  • bibles are not worth porn, maybe low grade second hand porn.

  • some old vintage british softcore porn

  • haha thats the best stuff :)

  • Way to fail at formulating the divine command theory. The kid completely crushed his argument.

  • I'm all for it, but Texas probably isn't the best place to start this movement.

  • The thing I commend the kid for the most is that he managed to get equal (Or more) speaking time as the host; that seems to be a difficult thing to do on shows like these.

  • intelligent, confident kid.

    well done.

  • God I hate that host so much. "That's a circular argument that I think you need to think through a little more Thomas." Nice condescension from a guy that completely dodges the entire argument he just called silly. He attacks the kid for saying that morality is based on the law, when that's not at all what the kid actually said.

  • Woah. I can't believe they actually invited an intelligent person on air. It seems cable media show like this only invite people on who they can easily humiliate.

  • That guy with the stupid bowtie( a scream for attention) is like a bird sticking its head in the ground ... "I don't like to think outside of my nice safe box. It scares me and my redneck viewers."

  • I love it when biased newscasters bring on people they disagree with in an attempt to make their guest look foolish when in the end they are the ones who get completely schooled by their guest. This guy made me so mad but I am so impressed with that student.

  • This pissed me off so much. Is it me or is every newscaster a devout Christian, Jew, Muslim etc...?

  • Stupid asshole and his bow tie are hilarious

  • "You don't look like an atheist"

A cheap way of saying that he looks like a well-groomed, sensible person, and that atheists should NOT look that way.

    Bigtory = bad

  • i cannot take the interviewer seriously because i become distracted too much whenever he is speaking by the retarted bow tie. i know, i shouldnt be judging by character but by words, too bad the words prove nothing either.

  • Comment removed

  • poopulan you are a fuckin idiot. Giving out good smut for shit bible smut makes complete sense moron. People aren't forced to go to church? what kind of retard are you? children across the world are forced to go to church all the time, just as their parents were... now go kill yourself. You are a failure.

  • Comment removed

  • oh and he had to close with "Don't agree with what you do but...". What a dumbass.

  • Umm why does he open with "You don't look like an atheist!". What does that mean exactly? Substitute the word "atheist" with the word "jew", "christian","muslin","buddhist", etc. Do you see my point? Bigotry is bigotry, my friends. Only this is permissible for some reason. Now you see what atheists have to deal with every day.

  • i love this guy

  • Our morality comes from our emotional response to outside stimuli. If someone punches you in the face it's a bad thing. If someone buys you lunch this is a good thing. everything that makes you feel good is good and everything that makes you feel bad is bad. If something makes you feel bad, it could make others feel bad. Morality is simple human emotion. This interviewer is a moron and a ratings whore playing to the ignorant masses!

  • What the fuck is this intervieuver thinking? Law are NOT based on fucking religion.

One of the first ammenments was that a law shall never be erected in favor of a religiond. DUMB ASS!
