  • Heerlijk vers geroosterde pinda's :D!

  • This one is Deinitely Lotek, though some central and eastern Java call it Gado-gado. The real Gado-gado mainly come from West Java and Betawi. Anyway, Thanks YT for posting this nice Vid...

  • berliur.......

  • Ini mah lotek

  • makanan indonesia memang top!!!

  • This is not gado-gado, pecil, its a similar dish but with different spices.

Ulek three chili's and one garlic and a piece of kencur and lemon leave ( daun jeruk purut) , garam = salt

a handfull of peanuts ( kacang tanah) .

gula Jawa means sugar from Java its a mixture of palmsugars. (aren is a kind of a palm).

The man adds water to the saus

than the vegetabels: cucumber, beansprouts and coocked spinach (bayam) and shreded retich and cabbage

  • @PaulSilent allright...so i served my friends pecel all the time?

  • @PaulSilent This is how my grandmother makes gado gado..

  • yum....yum.... need more peanuts, hehehehe

  • This video is about lotek.

Gado - gado, lotek, and pecel. They are similar but different..

The most popular is gado - gado.

  • ocht zo lekkerrrr...jd pengen pulang ke tanah air.....

duh susah bgt mo makan rujak disini.....

  • cabenya kurang banyak. 2 sih kurang pedas.

  • how was it?

  • DAMN NICE

  • ehhmmmm enak salamdari hamburg

  • i like gado gado with hot sauce

  • Authentic!

  • 3.Tahu guling: the peanut sauce is very coarse and lighter plus extra sweet soysauce with bean sprout, fried tempeh, tofu, ketupat etc similar to ketoprak and tahu gimbal

    4. Gado gado: very smooth boiled peanut sauce plus potato, boiled egg, ketupat etc.

  • Different types of peanut sauces dressing salads in jogja as I know are:

    1. Lotek: the peanut sauces made a bit coarse with boiled kangkung spinach, ketupat etc.

    2. Pecel: the peanut sauce made a bit spicy and more watery with bean sprout, spinach rice etc.

  • garam means salt,, not panchur it's kencur

  • can somebody tell me waht is the panchur? pachur? and the garam.. what they use in this recipe here?

  • @emmerton

Like was said, it is kencur not panchur. Scientific name:Kaempferia galanga. It gives a special aroma and raises appetite.

  • looks extremly yummy... can somebody tell how the indonesian food is called which i similirar to omlete or pancake with peanut sacue on top?

  • I think you're refering to martabak

  • thanks maybe you are right.. it looked at some recipes.. its kind the same.. but they did with satay on top? is that possible?

  • martabak's filling are chocolate, cheese, peanuts or the combination of them, never heard any with satay though ... or maybe its not martabak at all

  • gado gado dan pecal itu hampir mirip tapi tidak sama...

  • west and central java/jogja's food are quite the same. sometimes they differ only in names or several ingredients.and each maker has their own version of it. but the most important thing is the peanut sauce.

what i know, in west java, Lotek consist of raw vegetables. so it tastes different.

btw, i wanna see the face of the foreigner who ordered this menu when he ate.

cause a foreigner once asked how could Indonesian eat something that looks like mud and made on stone like that?? LOL

  • the black stone that they used to make the peanut sauce also used by Mexican people here, they called it "Mochahette"

i tried the peanut sauce with grilled fish or chicken, and my husband who is an American loves it so much
