spacers, braces, and surgery oh my! (Part One)

i'm getting spacers today do they hurt?

@yoshifan1141 I'm going to be honest- yes, they do hurt. But it's really more of a constant sore/achiness then just a "hurt." Take aspirin as soon as you can and be prepared to eat soft foods for the next few days (meatballs, applesauce, etc)... but don't worry they're the hardest part of the process, and it'll be over soon enough!

@preppedforglammer For some people they do not, but every person has a different experience. For example, I was told by many people that my teeth would for days after my braces were removed. I actually felt no pain at all and was able to eat normally.

YES! I got mine today and yes..... T_T I can't even chew or close down all the way...or even slightly...the pain...it hurts ._.

How many fillings do you have? Do you eat broccoli?

i think i only have two fillings, on the bottom somewhere. ha ha, i should probably know the answer to that. but yes i do eat broccoli i love it. it doesn't get stuck to bad either, depending on how soft its cooked.

I aggree with you...spacers are sooo painful!!  It was such a relief getting them out.
