@Radith87 "Did you have bad experiences with religious people at a young age?"
No. Why?
I find it interesting that I often get Christians trying to armchair psychoanalyze me. What's the point in that? There is no way there is enough information about me in these videos and comments for you to even come close, so why bother?
I've been thinking about this very argument lately.....It's interesting how xtians got behind the mormons on Prop 8 even though mormons aren't "true xtians."
@popebenadict16 I don't have a face tattoo - but the video for this clip was a little out of focus, and kinda dull to look at, so I thought I'd punch it up with a bit of effects processing.
I would have to say that the Westboro Baptist Church is likely the only group of Christians to actually follow the entire Bible (assuming the King James translation is legit) literally without picking and choosing the stuff.
@arrogantgodjealous Damn Right!!! Westboro Baptist Church Are The Spitting Image Of The Bible,I Went To A Couple Of Anti Westboro Pages And Stated Your Point And Got Blasted From Every Direction.
Excellent! I run into this absurd argument from theists all the time here on YT and have done some vids myself about it! It's maddening to note the amount of illogical fallacy that theists must hang onto in order to continue their religious addiction! You made great points here...as usual! ;) Thanx!
That isn't really their argument. The argument is that no standard moral value can exist without God, not that individuals who believe in God or don't should have seperate values.
Why would people who live in a fantasy world that think this life is just the staging phase to forever with Skydaddy behave themselves when they believe they can just close their eyes and talk to the voice in their head and think everything is forgiven?
It is laughable to think religion improves a person's character.
The Church of England is an interesting sect of christianity, it came about by Henry VIII being prohibited to marry by the pope because he was already divorved, so he took matters into his own hands, and invented his own branch of christianity. Here in England it's now a dying religion, atheism is becoming more and more popular.
@ymalmsteen887 "What would be in your opinion what america would look like if it was founded on christian values?"
That's a very interesting question, and I think there are two directions it could have gone - England, which has an official state version of Christianity (CoE), or maybe Iran or Saudi Arabia.
England has an official religion that most people ignore, and Saudi has a religion that you ignore at your peril.
Looking at what the US is like, I'd say they'd lean the violent way.

I don't defend that position I should say so I'm not attacked but they aren't saying a belief in God makes any one person more moral than another.
