If the treament stopped hair will start to fall out again and will be back to square one within a year of stopping. However, i did read a report that a small percentage of men did keep their hair after stopping. Not 100% sure if this a true....

rogaine is crap because it doesn't stop the DHT from cutting off the blood flow to the scalp. there are a lot of natural things that can do it, including saw palmetto(which is what I take) and since i started it, i haven't lost any hair in over 2 years, though haven't gained any back either. just stopped it.

it's a natural herb derived from berries that is mainly for good prostate health, but also blocks the DHT from attacking the hair follicles. all I know is I started taking it in late 07' and haven't thinned any more since early 08'. unless hair loss is in phases i don't know, also get enough vitamins and don't use shampoo that has any sodium laurel or laureth sulfate in it. it shhould be in the vitamin section of your supermarket.. i take sundown brand.

Propecia didn't cause any problems for me in terms of sexual functioning; however, neither was it useful re: my hairloss.

I started using regaine a month ago and it is actually having a noticable effect already. i guess propecia works for some people and regaine works for others.

im in quite an unusual situation in that i live in Japan and use the product Ri-Up which is probably the same as regain despite being produced here. Seems to work well. I wasn't VERY bald just some thinning of the hair but it was pointed out and a friend said "Dude try it, it works". so far 3 months in and my hair has definitely thickened back to the way it was. if regain fails, order the Japanese version and see if it makes a difference (it's expensive- 1month 7000 yen=$70)

Yes, it is the same, there are many different causes of hairloss, so it won't work for everyone, if you have male pattern baldness over the top of your head then it could work, but all over baldness is a different matter, no need for anyone to worry about side effects so long as it's not overused and your in good health, no more than twice every 12 hours, anymore than that is asking for trouble because minoxildil is a strong drug, potential poison, it must NOT ever get into the blood.

a month is not long enough to see any improvement. some people say that some hair falls out before it starts to grow back again but i didn't notice that. i've been using it for about 11 months now and it certainly wasn't until about 5/6 months that i started to see any improvement. it takes time so be patient. i have tried many products out there but regaine is the only one that has had any positive results. good luck.
