  • 1:49 he look like a scholar

  • So love you...

  • Slowly going through all his videos. I have to get up for school in 4 hours... Pfft. Whatever

  • It's been overturned!!!

  • Can't fucking believe it didn't pass. They will change it at some point, of course, but what they have done can't be constitutional.

  • everyone deserves what they want in life, be gay if you wish i have nothing against it =)

  • I wish I could gay marry you.

  • Michael Aranda for president 2012!

  • Love this. Completely took the words out of my mouth :)

  • Everytime i watch your videos, your words are pure poetry. You are tru

  • Holy Crap. You're Awesome. You took the words out of my mouth. if someone wants to marry homosexually, let them! don't tell them they're going to hell or abandon them. love them anyways. because god does. no matter what. after you're saved, there's nothing you can do that will send you to hell. NOTHING. that includes marrying homosexually.

  • Perfection

  • If the people involved are alright with it, then who are we to tell them that they are "wrong"? Why is it our place to judge?

  • i may only be a child but i agree with you, people should be allowed to marry whoever they love no matter what, its not up to any other person to tell u who u can and cant marry

  • very well said, can't believe it passed :/ xx

  • very well thought through i like your point and you calm description

  • Why aren't there more guys out there like you? You're logical, charming, attractive, creative, etc. You're P E R F E C T .

  • I like how you proposed your thoughts on the topic but you are right about the religous belifs because in the Bible is says, "God made one man for one woman, and one woman for one man." Please ll veiwers of this video take this into consideration.

  • Honestly, I feel this video should have been posted much earlier than 24 hours before voting took place. I think you expressed everything in a very calm and clear manner. Dammit, now I'm getting Prop 8 flashbacks.

  • Anyone else notice he is at a play ground? ... Wheres the kids..

  • Quite frankly, I don't see anything wrong with being gay, or gay marriage. Just because I'm an atheist doesn't make me lenient to one side or the other either. Back when I was a big Catholic, I still didn't push my own religion or beliefs on someone because I believed it was wrong. Just like it was wrong to push the belief of homosexual marriage is wrong just because of religious beliefs.

  • I'm strongly opposed to homosexual marriage, and I will never be ashamed or secretive of how I feel, but this was a great video. Parents need to take their responsibility to their children so much more seriously than just trying to make government raise their kids for them. I'd say "props to you", but that might sound like a horrible pun. -_-

  • I love this video. I love your stance on this, Michael. You're kind of awesome.

    And I like your glasses.

  • Gotta say: never been a big fan....but I think I just fell in love

  • your amazing :)

& smart & logical & cute as hell & sweet & funny & charming & friendly & i want to meet you & make you fall in love with me & get you to propose to me & have your children :)

is that too much to ask for? :)

  • SO.... I remember favoriting this YEARS back because of how well you spoke on the subject and I sent it around to friends- and I just found it buried in my favorites today. It's funny because at the time I favorited this, didn't know who the heck you were- but today I nearly freaked cause I am a nerdfighter that watches Charlieissocoollike.... x D

  • my catholic church is accepted of homosexuals :)

  • It baffles me the naivety that still surrounds this topic. I honestly cannot comprehend why in this day and age so many people are outraged by the gays. Doesn't your religion teach you to love & accept everyone? We've conquered racial differences now it's time to conquer sexual orientation differences and stigmas.

  • Well part of it was sense, like that the government can't make you teach your kids something that you don't believe, but Christians spiritual journeys are not only to get themselves safe in heaven, but also to get others into heaven, including homosexuals.

  • i have never heard such sense come from a man in all my life.

  • I tried to listen to what you were saying but I kept getting distracted by your totally awesome hair. Jesus, I want to touch it.

  • "maybe we should focus on our own personal, spiritual journeys and leave the judgement to God."

  • His eyes have the most amazing shape to them...

  • Well said! Screw Prop. 7.5!!

  • But why does it change now, in the supposedly evolved 21th century ? I mean, did the government express any reasons why it decided to change the Constitution ?

  • Michael, you make me want to cry tears of joy.

  • THANK YOU!! I'm catholic and my parents raised me saying it was wrong but I don't agree. Everyone deserves the same rights.

  • Thank you.

  • Couldnt Be put Better.

  • Americans always have this stigma that they are idiots. I would agree that most actually are and I am American. But there are the occasional brilliant folk ,like Michael A., that contradict that very argument. If only there were more M. Grandad in this country; it would make it better.

  • thank you michael aranda! although i dont love gay mariage, i dont think the government should have any thing to do with it and it should be neither legal nor illegal, because it has nothing to do with laws it has to do with free choice, and what u believe is right for you. just like government should have no say in what drugs u can and cannot take. if u dont like the drug dont take it! the government has no say in what u do as long as u dont steal from or harm anyone. read the constitution!

  • This is just amazing, you couldn't have put it better!

  • so manly thing to discus that... gays ... and gods thingy word ..

  • why compare charlie and michael!!

  • Charlie has nothing on Michael. Period.

  • This is the best thing I have ever seen or heard on the matter. I absolutely love what you have to say, and I agree with you fully.

  • This is absolutely amazing. If the government was as clear-minded and objective as you are, our country would be so much better.

  • I love your videos.

  • dude. ur awesome and i love u.

  • What happened to your glasses.

  • <3

  • Great video, although I got a little lost around where you said about smoking and drinking excessively. Using those two examples makes it sound like you're lining them up with being gay, as if loving someone of the same gender is a life-threatening vice. I'm pretty sure you don't mean that, right?

  • You.

    I. Love. You.

This is the most well put statement about Prop. 8 I have seen.

  • is he from Cali ?

  • I wish that more people would watch this. It's so eloquently stated.

I love how respectful you are toward all views in this video. You aren't trying to force your personal views upon people, and that's something that many people have trouble with. Kudos, sir.

  • More people need to just let people make their choices, so what if they get married, it's not like it will kill you.

  • people should be able do be with who they want, and love who they want. no law should change anything. its just another example of the government trying to rule over everything we try to do. this is supposed to be a free country. where has freedom gone?

  • My mom has pretty much taught that I can be whatever i want. I just like guys, but my best friend is bi, and i don't really care that much. What does it matter anyway?

  • I thought it said "Prostitution Eight" and that just shows my amazing reading skills!

  • I totally agree with this. And I would just like to point out that not all Christians are anti-gay. Even though I may not totally agree with it, I don't hate any gays, and I don't judge them for it. It's their decision, and Michael is right, it's God's place to judge, not ours.

  • Wow, this video is really interesting from a British pov, I never realised how different stuff is over there, for example we don't even let religions discriminate between straight and gay couples; people are sued for doing this, but then we don't allow marriage for same sex couples, only civil partnership.

  • beautifully said, plain and simple

  • It happned :(. I found out because of charlieissocoollike's video :(

  • @cal352 i bet ur only saying that because u yourself are gay but ur ashamed of it. You cant choose ur sexulality, same as u cant change it, only hide it

  • It is clearly stated in the constition "all men are created equal" if america wants to follow through on their promise, then all men/people should be able to marry whom they choose wheather it be same sex or oppisite. Is it against the law to love, it shouldnt be. Is it against the law to be yourself, it shouldnt be. Is it against the law to live life how u please, it shouldnt be. Being in love w/ same sex and being in love w/ oppisite sex is the same thing so why should they be handled differe

  • you are like..really gorgeous.

  • Michael are you gay or anti-gay? Please reply, I'm a little confused.

  • @DylanHopo On his vyou account, he says that he's not gay. He just supports equal rights.

  • I wonder why you can't get inside Britain, those dudes are seriously fucked up

  • Nice insight. I hope it has impact on people who vote.

  • Comment removed

  • @cal352 Supporting gay marriage ≠ being gay.

  • Comment removed

  • @cal352 Who says he's gay? That was my point - just because he supports gay marriage doesn't mean he's gay -_- And are you saying you don't like him BECAUSE he's a 'faggot', or you don't like him and he just happens to be a faggot? Because neither of them explain why you're watching this video. Unless your sexual preference inspired you to find out about gay marriage rights.

  • Comment removed

  • @cal352 So just because they're different to you it's wrong? If it's inhuman, how come it's so common?

If someone's nice I'll talk to them... it's not really a question of whether they're gay or not. And no, I wouldn't punch them in the face - they're just the same as anyone, they just like the same gender. If it helps you be less angry towards gay people, think of it this way: "It isn't who you love, it's how you love. Genetalia is simply god's way of accessorising."

  • @cal352 They eat different? Wow, now I see why you hate them. How logical.

  • Comment removed

  • @cal352 Haha, no I'm not gay. It's not that I'm "protecting" them, it just seems you have no real reason to hate gay people.

  • @cal352 why is it that you think that people who are homosexual and so much worse than heterosexuals? I'm not saying that it should be the other way around, i'm saying that a person's sexuality doesn't change who they are.

And why would you want to punch someone in the face just because of they're sexuality? To me, THAT sounds unhuman.

  • Comment removed

  • @cal352 you are just completely close-minded, aren't you? and the meaning of "gays" and "lesbians" are the same, they're just different words to describe different genders

  • Comment removed

  • @cal352 sorry, i wasn't trying to be mean. i'm just trying to tell you that everyone's equal.

  • @DreaminSusan :/ I get it anyway..

  • <3!! good for you! i couldnt have put it any better. your a great guy. =D stay cool.

  • I think I've stolen all these argument points just for debating gay marriage. So thank you.

  • thank you SO MUCH for that last sentence, i wish that more people would actually listen to it. this world could use more people like you. keep being awesome.

  • it makes me so happy when you talk close to the camera :)

  • Michael Aranda, where have you been all my life?

You are beyond brilliant, beyond driven, beyond talented, and just plan incredible.

I absolutely love watching your videos and hearing what you have to say.

    Never stop.

  • @qtbabe127 In the cupboard under the stairs.

  • @Gvf77x Nooo, that's Harry Potter silly! lol

  • @qtbabe127 Wait, this isn't Harry Potter?! Haha ;)

Michael really is amazing though, I think everyone who wanted to vote 'yes' should've watched this first =P

  • @qtbabe127 I almost thumbsed up your comment but it had 100 thumbs up and It looked kinda cool XD

  • you are simply amazing really .

  • there are 9 people that are voting yes on prop 8...

  • i'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but is he gay? if so, i love him even more (:

  • I think I'm in love<3

    xx

  • This was honestly spectacular. I wish I had seen this before.

  • This was honestly spectacular. I wish I had seen this before.

  • as long as man kind has arrogance they shall believe in our own divinity even if it is a lie. so it is our job as humans to look at things with humility and help others to do the same. over thousands of years we have seen man kind struggle to accept one another but hopefully we will continue to make progress in this respect

  • Michael,

I know this post was way way long ago...I whole heartedly agree with you...but the Bible reference is....weak.

  • I love how crazy your videos are!!! Sone are like completely philosophical like tear whereas some are completely retarded like Bladder Mutiny, but that's why everyone lobes your videos, you rock :)

  • why did prop 8 pass :'(

  • why did prop * pass :'(

  • i love you :D

  • concisely, eloquently, and sensitively put.

  • "Maybe we should focus on our own personal, spiritual journeys and leave judgement to God." < --- I've been waiting for someone, somewhere to say those words.

They don't. Not often enough do I get into a conversation with someone about religion and they're willing to leave others to believe what they wish, to act as they'd prefer.

    It's their lives, after all.

    This was wonderful.

  • with the glasses, u could be sxephil's brother o.o

  • @RAWRimapikachu whut? I love 'em both but Micheal looks nothing like Phil o.O

  • This video solidified my love for you. There's no turning back now.

  • couldn't you say 'gay people'?

  • You're incredible. I'm always wondering how to put this topic into words that people will understand, in a way that won't be judgemental. I agree with you so much. Judgement should be left to God. Who are we to judge when we are all sinners ourselves?

  • Well....

Yeah, that sounds pretty wise I suppose. Thumbs up :)

  • It makes me so incredibly glad that there are people like you in the world. Your passion towards this topic is truly inspiring.

  • um. I think I may love you... seriously, that was beautiful...

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah GOD???? you lost me their....

  • @TheOtherOtherGirl prop 8 did pass....luckily it was over turned!! :) and Micheal isn't gay, he has a GF but he did look sad to make this probely because someone's sexual orientation should be they're buissnes

  • Travel around the world with an Latino women rockmycity.info

  • Lovely ending to that :)

  • I completely agree. Homophobia is sick and stupid, and worng. No-one should be limited by who they choose to love- it's not right.

Michael... you looked so sad making this video. I am going to take a wild guess-don't be offended, but... are you gay?

i still love you. I'm so glad Prop 8 did not pass. ♥

  • Fantastic!

  • You're my favorite person in the entire world.

  • I'm so glad prop 8 was over turned! But what is it to someone what happens behide closed doors! Many of the people who wanted prop 8 to stay in place because of relign do things that would be found a deadly sin in the bible! It's not so wrong when you understand the whole of is it?

  • Who says 'win'? It took a year for everyone to look around and see how silly they were being, but hey. :D

  • you are so smart. and funny. :] what a great combination.

  • You absolutely blew me away! As soon as I watched this, I got my whole family together to show them! This was fantastic, and I completely admire the way you handled it! Wonderfully done!

  • Yes, we should leave judgement to God. Let people live their lives how they want and God will judge them. He loved us so much to give us free will.

And to your comment about the fiery depths of Hell, if those homosexuals love Jesus Christ and accept him as their savior, they will still be saved. You don't get into Heaven with your actions, you get into Heaven with your love for Him. Now, I am not saying to sin, sin, sin. I am just stating a fact that I have read in my bible.

    :)

  • Absolutely brilliant.

  • My argument is that I want to see statistical, scientific, biological proof that same-sex marriages will damage the fabric of society. This is just like the doctors who say vaccines make your kid autistic. The one who said it first was just recently found as being unethical in researching said study (taking blood samples at his birthday party for $1.75), so all his data is biased and rendered inadmissable.

  • That was brilliant.

  • This is exactly the type of view point I have on the matter. This is what makes me so angry, though: people are always trying to make everything their way. WHY can't we just let people make decisions for themselves? Why do people constantly feel the need to stick their noses where they don't belong?

I know I would hate it if somebody tried to take rights away from me. Golden Rule. So I'm not going to go about taking away the rights of other people.

  • thank you for that.

  • this totally makes sense!ur good!smart!!!

  • I've often heard the argument that allowing homosexual marriage would somehow destroy the "sanctity" of marriage. What about divorce? Should that be outlawed as well? I'm married and I personally believe that the only people who have any effect on the sanctity of my marriage are my spouse and I.

Anyway, great video - well said.

  • i like that you talk about important issues but just try to have people look at it in a new way... not necessarily YOUR way but to make a change from the perspective they have always taken and.... ya =)

  • Freaking awesome!

  • I have to day, I completely agree. Most particularly with the part about judgement and God.

  • You, seriously, are amazing! <3

  • Pricelles,I love the final part because it's completely true!

Than you very much for the video.

  • THANK YOU!!!! i am a devoted christian, but i love gay people. i think that its wrong for other christian to put down gays

    I LOVE YOU ARANDA!!

  • I agree completely. This was so well done and had such great proof. I'm a christian that supports gay marriage.

  • @RefusetoListen right on!

  • U convinced me with ur inteligent speech, n adorable face ( which btw u look suuuppperr cute in glasses. I'm just sayin)

  • GATO

  • The last little bit of true-ism got my subscription......click.

  • You're amazing.

  • Wait. Are you supporting or against prop 8?

  • @jtimester if you honestly couldnt get his view you didn't pay any attention to the video.

  • @jtimester Guess...

  • Haha I taught it said prostitution eight lol

  • Haha I taught it said prostitution eight lol

  • that last bit was so wise

  • your word are so impacting

  • Thank you for this :) No on 8!

  • Why is it that rational people like you didn't get a large enough megaphone I will never understand. Thank you for your words of wisdom.

  • Yep...

    I love you.

  • Awesome vid. Great job sounding accepting of both sides, while still putting in your input.

    Props, dude.

  • I kind of really love you.

  • Cool vid.

  • Woooooooooooo!

  • * Reply to Telemachus1112, page 15

  • Why can't people not just open their minds but see further then the time and place they are in, and realise every stupid thing like this will be and already is archaic.

  • I believe that if we past judgement on anyone then we are all damned. I am not gay but I know I dont have the right to tell anyone what to do or how to live.

  • You just blew me away with your brilliance. Holy crap.

  • HELL YEAH!! I agree completely
