Yes he is already in my discussion for GOAT but thats because I'm biased towards him. However, MJ won 6 rings as the man. Kobe needs to win at least 4 rings as the man (as in he needs to win the Finals MVP as well) to be considered the GOAT. I think its very possible with the unstoppable Lakers team we have right now. It's very possible that this team will win multiple championships in the coming years. That will definitely make Kobe the GOAT in my book. But as of now, he's got a long way to go.

Yes he is already in my discussion for GOAT but thats because I'm biased towards him. However, MJ won 6 rings as the man. Kobe needs to win at least 4 rings as the man (as in he needs to win the Finals MVP as well) to be considered the GOAT. I think its very possible with the unstoppable Lakers team we have right now. It's very possible that this team will win multiple championships in the coming years. That will definitely make Kobe the GOAT in my book. But as of now, he's got a long way to go.

scoring is down from 110 points in 1986 to about 97 points last year. At least google "nba scoring averages" before you make your point for everyone to read. Also, Robert Horry said Kobe is the best of all time.. not that it matters what other people think. Pippen is retarded, he has said he is better than MJ. and anyone that says its easier to score now is just silly because scoring is down by about 17 ppg since Jordans rookie year.

Yes Exiogo, I know all about Cousy and Havelicek and Casey and Sam Jones etc... that team was stacked. They ran other teams out of the gym, but they mostly won because of defense and that begins and ends with Bill Russle. I never said that Russel was the GOAT (top-5 in my mind), but that he was a guy to build your team around. KB42PAH said that he was "garbage" which is obviously a very very very stupid comment. Again, I'm not a Celtic fan, but rather a basketball fan with perspective.

Kobe will never get the accolades that MJ got, but going on pure talent Kobe is better. People always wanna throw up MJ's accolades when your comparing the two but it's not fair because i dont think anyone will ever get the accolades MJ got. The only way to judge 2 player's is by pure talent.

Agreed. Athleticism = Jordan. MJ had a 43 inch vertical. Kobe has a 38.
3's = Kobe. Kobe has more range in his jump shot. Not to mention he has better ball handling.
Defense = MJ. MJ was the best perimeter defender in his era. And won DPOY in the same season he won MVP. Kobe has never even been mentioned as a candidate for this award.
Mid range = MJ. Numbers don't lie. Jordan career average was 50%, while kobe is 45%.
Clutch = MJ. Fundamentals = MJ. Kobe talented as fuck, but MJ is g.o.a.t
