There's no reason to mess with survey takers. Yes they're telemarketers in the sense they're calling you for business purposes not your own, but they're not trying to dig around in your pockets. They're just collecting information.  If a survey taker calls you why not just either politely ask them to call back later if you're too busy, or just answer their questions truthfully and politely and move on with your life. (I'm not a survey taker if you're wondering)
