haha, this video kicks ass. That was an awesome effect when those ninjas in black pickeded up the tables and chairs, and faced them towards the table, to make it look like the camera changed angles, to look down on it. Loved it!

Apparently they did one mixdown stage through analogue or analogue-sounding hardware - meant it was possible to run some channels slightly "hot" - which gave that slightly overdriven sound that was common.

Also helped that they had Elton playing liano on a couple of their tracks..

Oh - and writing in a minor key as well - like classic Chinn/Chapman..

there was an interview with the band where they mentioned that some of the crew were actually from the Japanese game show crew and that they openly admit they 'copied' the idea....it is a lot more seamless and believable than the Japanese game show one...great video!
