I thought the "Get Shorty" adaptation was a bit "campy." It gave it a weird feel. I don't think there's any question that "Rum Punch," was the best adaptation. There's just something about QT and Dutch, they go hand and hand
That first scene was taken out of Pronto, except Raylan has to deal with a mafiosa from Italy rather than this guy. Justified did this quite a bit, adapting scenes and short stories around the show (the third episode of the first season 'Fixer' was a blatant adaptation of Riding the Rap).
They sure did, pardner. I can't recall the episode number, but the one where Winona was being threatened by the Dixie Mafia enforcer in her own home was taken from "52 Pick-Up", which is my favorite Elmore Leonard novel
